This is a really nice large house facing west across Holmes Harbor, up on a bluff. Really beautiful sunsets, with decks and deckchairs on each floor. Big open space, spacious bedrooms, kitchen VERY well appointed with cookware and utensils. Drivable spot to many places on south Whidbey Island - parks, good restaurants in Langley, wineries, etc. VERY relaxing place. Management company keeps things moving nicely. Please make this dog friendly again, the gorgeous fenced yard would have been heaven for our pooches! They are good boys!

This is a great house for a large group. The kitchen is amazing and very well-stocked. There’s a fully fenced yard which is great for kids (however, there are numerous holes were a smaller dog could get through). The access to the private beach is a plus, but make sure you check the tides, and also be aware that it is a half mile walk to the road that heads down to the beach (which is a very steeply graded paved road) and it would be difficult for children or people with mobility challenges to get up and down. Fortunately, you can drive! :) The beds were comfortable, there were sufficient sheets and blankets for everyone, and the location was close to stores. Overall, our group of 11 had a great time.

This is a great place. It is clean, large enough for a big family, and well located. The views and the fresh air are amazing. The kitchen and living room are one big room, which lends itself to happy family gatherings.

There is also a lack of furniture given the number of people the house is advertised as sleeping. We asked if that could be rectified, but were told that it couldn't. For example, there are upper and lower decks, but only straght backed chairs and little plastic tables, no comfortable chairs, nor any tables usable for, say, eating lunch. Also, the house sleeps 10 people, but there are eight dining room chairs. The living and dining room are all one space, with the couch abutting the dining room table and, again, not enough chairs for people to hang out in. There is an L-shaped sofa that fits maybe 5 people, and then there are two chairs on wheels, so if you want to hang out in the evening and watch a movie, several people have to pull over dining chairs. We were told that the shams were clean and that we could use them as pillowcases, but there were visible stains. We were told that there would be a functioning washing machine, but received an email beforehand telling us that it was broken, but that our clothes would be washed. Well, they were, but not at logical intervals. First they were picked up two days after our arrival, when we didn't really need them washed, then they were picked up early the next week, but we had no idea when they would be returned. There's also not enough furniture for the number of people the house sleeps. We were told that was just the way it was. We were also left a note that explains that the fan in the upstairs hallway bathroom (where 6 people are expected to shower and use the toilet) works, but there is no evidence that it does. We were largely content with the management company who, we understand, just started managing this house and were not to blame for the shortcomings of the house. Given the cost, we were disappointed with the house and with the owner's response to our requests. The neighborhood and neighbors are lovely, but the house is not well enough appointed for the money being charged. We think it’s reasonable to expect sufficient furniture for the number of people housed there, a working washing machine, a working ice machine on the fridge, a functioning fan in the upstairs bathroom, a functioning barbecue, comfortable outside furniture.
