Seeing as though New Haven is very expensive, this is a good option if you are ok w renting a room (and don’t want to stay in a hotel, which at the end I ended up doing). The individual room has a wall unit for cooling but otherwise there’s little to no air flow through the house. Never saw anyone else around. The shower in the hallway bathroom is actually a large tub you have to step up into, which is fine for me but I see how it could be problematic.

Ian and Joseph were extremely friendly and communicated very well. The location of the house is conveniently located near things to do, however; I would recommend having a vehicle as it is right off of a main road and there is no sidewalk. Over the check in and out process was simple and the hosts were incredibly accommodating when I wanted my fiancé to visit for a weekend. Only potential warning for some is if you don’t like bugs/spiders be careful! The house is beautiful and large but it is old and the house is beautifully surrounded by trees and greenery. With that though does come unwelcomed visitors from time to time. Other than that, I would highly recommend and would stay there again myself!

Great! I stayed for a month! Quiet and peaceful. No complaints. Was as expected!! Very kind and responsive hosts. Definitely great spot.
