Nestled in the heart of Amish country, this charming cottage has everything you need for a relaxing getaway at the lake. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets from two north facing patios complete with hot tub. Gas fireplace. The home features an unobstructed view of Long Lake. Two large trees in the yard create ample shade. The lawn provides lots of space for your favorite games with a gentle slope to the lake. The water is shallow more than 20 feet out, perfect for floating and relaxing. Pets welcome! The spacious all season room has three sliding doors, providing tons of light and lake view. The eat-in kitchen has many new items, including microwave, pots and pans and other small appliances. The living room opens to a small porch with a table, perfect for having your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. A wall of windows in the living room features the backyard trees and the lake. The gas fireplace is operational - perfect for cool evenings. The two bedrooms sleep 5. The primary has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a twin over double bunk bed. There is a high quality futon in the living room that sleeps two additional guests. All linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided. We offer a dock with boat tie downs - bring your boat! Public lake access is just 7 minutes from our home. Own a Tesla? Wall connector in the garage for fast, convenient charging.

This place was great! Just close enough to multiple towns with many unique locations and architecture. We met wonderful, good spirited locals in every town willing to tell us all about the region and history. We had plenty to do and see and a list for next time. We even got to see the Northern Lights! The layout of the home is open and spacious. It is set up to enjoy your stay any way you wish with a great flow inside and outside. The adjustable mood lighting in every room was perfect. Very clean. Easy to find things. The hosts kept themselves available. Definitely recommend this experience. Sadly, the region was hit by a tornado just hours before our arrival. Although this house and area were not affected by the weather, it was without power for some time. Our hosts kept us informed on the weather late into the night of our arrival, then kept us up to date on the electricity status until it was resolved. Very helpful and appreciated. We just stayed out of the way of the crews.

My husband, two small children, and I had an absolutely perfect time at this house. It was quiet, relaxing, beautiful, and the details were so well thought out (Towels by the door by the hot tub, cozy blankets everywhere, the gas fireplace, kitchen staples, cozy swing chair in the sun room). Accessing everything felt so easy, and we easily had the most relaxing and fun time we have ever had in an Airbnb. There were tons of board games that we made good use of, even a very old bingo game that my 3-year -old loved. The fishing was great. We watched the sunrise from the hot tub every morning. Roasted marshmallows over the fire pit. Watched movies on the big tv. The beds and couches were comfy, and the setup was convenient for our family. It was just perfect! We were so grateful that such a wonderful place was affordable to us! 100%recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, private, relaxing getaway, even with two little ones!

Long Lake is situated in southwest Michigan, with lots of activities nearby. The Magic Capital of the World, Colon, MI is just minutes away! Many Amish shops and bakeries are a short drive away, and Shipshawana, IN is only 45 minutes from the house. Multiple wineries within an hour. Other nearby outdoor activities include boating, biking, hiking and downhill skiing. Bring your Jeep or other off-road vehicle to the off-road dirt track.

We've both had a lifelong passion for Michigan and it's many outdoor adventures. Whether we are camping, hiking, or canoeing, we spend as much time outdoors as we can! As avid boaters, we love spending time on the water! After renting vacation homes throughout Michigan, we fell in love with this area. From the many lakes, the Amish community and amazing array of outdoor activities we knew this was the place! We were lucky enough to purchase the home from a family that loved it for 37 years, and we are looking forward to creating our own memories here.
