Our stay at Bird Haven was very enjoyable and comfortable. We were out and about a lot and it was always nice to go back and rest and sleep in an very comfortable and well maintained apartment with great views of the bay and the coming and going of fishing and mussel working boats.Denise and Malcolme were great hosts and well ,just nice people. Our stay in Bird Haven was a most enjoyable experience indeed. The location is tranquil and ideal for a trip to the Coromandel Peninsula with a stunning view of the ocean from the deck and bedroom. Hospitality was second to none, with the hosts Malcolm and Denise providing us with useful information to enhance our stay. The homemade granola and fresh bread provided was a a special touch. The accommodation and bathroom was squeaky clean. On our next trip to NZ Bird Haven will be our number one booking.

Bird Haven is one of the nicest places we have stayed. It was spotlessly clean and every detail had been thought through. We cannot recommend it highly enough. The views were stunning and the area was extremely quite with the quaint town 10 mins down the road. Denise and Malcolm were incredible hosts and nothing was too much trouble. New Chums Beach which was only 30 mins drive…..the best beach we have ever been too. Our only regret is that we didn’t book it for longer.

We booked Bird Haven for our son & his girlfriend as a gift. The hosts were very friendly, attentive & responded to messages promptly. They especially loved the home baking & bread. The location & amenities were beautiful. We hope to stay there ourselves sometime soon.

Bird Haven was simply a great place to stay - absolutely spotlessly clean, really comfortable bed and a super shower. The location was peaceful and relaxing with amazing views. Delicious breakfast and Denise left us fruit cakes and scones. What a lovely treat. Would most definitely recommend Bird Haven.
