A lovely quiet spot with a lovely view of the water. There’s nothing in walking distance so something to be aware of if you’re on foot. The restaurant down the hill had closed for the season but Naz kindly worked something out with us so we didn’t go hungry after hiking Aotea track! Completely off the grid, this is as unspoilt as it gets. 😊

Can’t recommend Naz and her place more highly, stunning location and house, wonderfully friendly hosts full of local knowledge and a friendly yarn. Excellent accomodation and hosts.

This place was absolutely beautiful and if you want to stay on Great Barrier, I cannot recommend this enough. We were in a group with several small children who loved the place but from Naz's point of view, I can appreciate that this maybe wasn't ideal. Both her and her partner Steve were incredibly helpful and communicative. Would happily stay here again. A

An off-grid marvel and wonder in a great hillside location overlooking Whangaparapara Harbor. Sunset from the balcony was already unforgettable…until the Milky Way made an appearance. Naz was very helpful at in-person check-in as you are a bit remote and there are naturally some things to know and remember about the house, but everything was expected and absolutely nothing detracted from our stay. I recommend stopping by the store in Claris before ascending the hill, but that also only takes about 15 minutes. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
