Beautiful place to rest, soak in a luxurious bath with nice amenities like 2 sinks in the bathroom and beautiful furnishings! Access to the common area is very nice - refrigerator and microwave are there. The location was ideal for us to visit our Gettysburg College and to join in the battlefield tour and attend events located "downtown" in the 'Burg. Bed was comfy and fireplace is easy to operate. Pretty garden view out back with your own little porch is very nice. We loved our stay there and would definitely return.

Quiet, peaceful getaway. Cozy, comfy and clean! Walk across the parking lot for lunch or dinner. Try Debbie’s cheesecake and Willie’s brisket! A great place to stay and relax.

Although this inn is on a well-traveled road, the space is peaceful and quiet thanks to lovely landscaping and the pleasant sound of little fountains and ponds, one just below the balcony in our room. The Cottage we were in was not old, but the lovely Victorian decor, including the wonderful bed seen in the photos, gave the illusion of an earlier time that we very much appreciated. The bed, by the way, was very comfortable and we loved the large tub, big enough for two. Finally, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Decent room, nothing historical. Kind of strange mix of modern and Victorian decor. Our "2 person jet tub jacuzzi bathtub" was filthy and the jets did not work, nor was there enough hot water to actually fill the tub. Overall a nice place. Breakfast one day was great, the next day was not good at all.

Where do I begin! I booked the Anna Herr bedroom for our 30th wedding anniversary. We wanted to stay in an inn that had the feel of Gettysburg in the time of the civil war. We were more than pleased with our choice. For the very fair price we paid, we were treated to an elegant room with private entrance, private bath and private deck overlooking a garden. There were warm bathrobes and comfy slippers in the bathroom that had double sinks, a TV with cable, coffee maker and lushous queen bed. Our key also gave us access to the common area in the main house where there were complimentary sodas and microwave popcorn. Upstairs there's a brightly natural lit seating area with books and games. We could tell right away the arrangement of 5 rooms in the Anna Herr house would be ideal for a wedding party or family reunion. At check in the assistant innkeeper, Sue offered us a glass of champagne which we enjoyed in rocking chairs on the front porch.That night we treated ourselves to an exquisite dinner in the inn's fine dining restaurant. We ordered prefix and chose a bottle of Italian wine to pair with our meal. The chef is an amazing cook! Every dish was an exciting experience for our pallets. When we returned to our room around 9pm we had trouble with the TV but Sue came over right away and fixed it. We slept soundly that night even though the inn has been reported to have gosts because of its involvement as a field hospital during the civil war. The next morning we were treated to a delicious hot home made breakfast included in our price. Diane the innkeeper was our hostess. The folks at the Inn made our 30th anniversary a memory not to be forgottenand we thank them for that.
