Just magnificent in every way! From the magical setting to the pristine condition and absolute luxury of Sue's home - everything was perfect. We spent 10 days here that exceeded all expectations and we made memories for a lifetime. The location is ideal -- we were easily able to get to both MDI and the Schoodic Peninsula for endless hiking and biking. We also rented kayaks and spent a few wonderful days paddling in the bay. My young daughter was thrilled with the private beach and enjoyed experiencing all the ways the shore changed with the tides. And if that wasn't enough, there was an enormous eagle's nest on site with chicks! We regularly saw 2 bald eagles tending to the nest. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with tons of thoughtful touches. I enjoyed cooking in Sue's kitchen more than my own. It was just a phenomenal stay and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Can't say enough good things about our stay in Sullivan Maine! The pictures don't do the place justice, the house is great, big living room, 3 comfy couches! Bedrooms were maybe a bit small but better than any hotel room! Comfy beds, heaters or air conditioner in each room, really was outstanding. now, the house was great, but the property itself MUCH greater! Easily the best land we have stayed on. 10 acres! With a huge bald eagles nest, and got to see the eagle itself! Very nice wooded trails, water on both sides, an outdoor fire pit, really was just awesome. Hard to believe there are so few reviews on this place, it really is magnificent!

In short, book this place! Our group was looking for a secluded place to stay with the wow-factor to go with our visit to Acadia and we found it here. The property is the perfect secluded retreat with all of the amenities you could want, and we can't say enough nice things about it or Sue. Sue would get back to our questions quickly and offered many suggestions and tips for our stay and even offered to have fresh lobster delivered to the house if we wanted to have a cookout. She truly went above and beyond and was one of the better hosts I have interacted with. Some of our favorites from our stay: - Adirondack chairs on the beach on the sunrise side of the private peninsula, and the same set-up for breathtaking sunsets on the sunset side of the peninsula. - An amazingly placed firepit on the sunset side which we used every night. An abundance of firewood and kindling was provided - Indoor and Outdoor Bose speaker system to listen to your favorite tunes - The interior is amazing with the new renovation. Plenty of space to cook and eat in the new kitchen and dining room. Bedrooms and Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. - Spacious living room for games and movie nights with the Smart TV The property is truly one of a kind. We enjoyed being able to have our own private view of the tidal falls, and there is plenty of outdoor space outside of the house to explore and enjoy without leaving the peninsula. Our group would definitely stay here again.
