Beautiful place. Very peaceful. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Fell in love with the place immediately when I saw it. Loved the bird decor and stained glass cupboards. The locations is wonderful and the beach is incredible - such a beautiful landscape (the staircase down is a little rickety but worth it to have the ability to explore a whole new seashore world which is amazing at low tide). A great place to entertain or to relax. According to the guest book, a lot of people are repeat visitors and I can understand why.

Renting this cottage met all expectations and more, quiet, secluded, and beautiful inside and out. So much room for 6 people, close to Charlottetown and lots of other amenities to purchase groceries , sight see and shop! Would not hesitate to go back or recommend it to anyone just a wonderful place to vacation.

This was our second stay at this cottage. It is in a quiet, private location and has its own beach access. Our family of six truly enjoyed staying there. It is well stocked and has plenty of space to relax. Mark is an excellent host. Our best friend’s family rented the cottage up the lane that is also owned by Mark and Mary Ellen, so if a couple of families are looking to vacation near each other, it’s great!

I'm not even sure where to begin. We had such a GREAT stay and are hoping to return within the near future. Communication was stellar with the owners and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. Mark even stopped by(just for a moment) to assure everything was good and we were enjoying our stay. As described in other reviews, the pictures simply do not do this place justice. The house is very nice and quite roomy. The views of the ocean are beautiful and make your morning coffee that much more enjoyable. EVERY morning I got up earlier than normal to sit on the deck and enjoy the view and ocean sounds. The bedrooms were very nice and the beds were quite comfortable. Two of the bedrooms have nice bathrooms attached which is always a major convenience. The downstairs is very nicely finished and roomy, perfect for the kids to hang out. The kitchen is very nice and well equipped with everything you would need during your stay, all kept nice and neat in a very large and nice "butlers pantry" where there is also a sink and dishwasher. If you have little ones, the washer and dryer came in extremely handy. I greatly appreciated having three toilets available in the house so there is always one available when nature calls. While the town is quite rural, which was a big part of the appeal of this place, Cornwall is a short, scenic drive away where there is a grocery store, pharmacy, and possibly most important, a liquor store. There are also multiple restaurants including Subway, Chinese take-out, pizza, etc. Just a short distance further is Charlottetown, where this MANY restaurants and places to explore. My family used to frequent PEI when I was younger. One of our favorite things to do was dig soft-shell clams "steamers" and have a big feed of either steamers or fried clams with hand-cut french fries made with fresh PEI potatoes. We returned to a few of our "honey holes" on the island and the digging was GREAT(make sure to refer to the restricted/open area map for clam digging on PEI online)! While the beach at the house does not have many soft-shell clams, we were introduced to a new type of clam by a very nice local. The beach out front of the house has loads of bar clams which are very easy to dig, even our three-year-old and six-year-old got some. They are HUGE(minimum of 4" to keep) and very tasty. We steamed them and ate the "abductors" which resemble scallops and are quite tender. Very fun and we will certainly be digging them again when we return. The local even told me that at high tide, the stripers(striped bass) come into the shore to feed so bring a fishing pole if you like to fish right off the steps. At low tide, the beach is great for finding all kinds of treasures, including very large snail shells, which the kids were very excited to find and are now on their bookshelves in their bedrooms at home. As mentioned in other reviews, the hot tub is very nice and adds to the relaxation factor everyone wants on vacation. We will certainly be looking to return to this little slice of heaven!
