Sue and Chaz were great hosts. The area is private and secluded. The beach is within walking distance but older family members had a bit of difficult walking back since there is a slight hill incline near the beach stairs. The beach is great for star gazing at night and often times we had the beach to ourselves throughout our stay. My kids were thrilled to see miniature starfish, mussels, snails, crabs and jellyfish. The water was a bit murky at times while we were there but that is expected. The few questions we had were addressed right away. We liked being 30 minutes from Charlottetown. Neighbours are friendly as well. My kids got to meet Ticker the horse a few doors down. We found the area very quiet and serene. We had a family of 7 (5 adults and 2 teens) and we felt like we had enough space. The mosquitoes were nasty but that is expected this time of year. Our family had a very enjoyable family reunion and look forward to staying here again.

Sue’s place was lovely and everything was as she described in the advertisement re the cottage. We had four adults and two kids for most of the week and everyone was comfortable. Sue was available by phone and responded to questions quickly. We loved the large deck (including the screened in area), the large yard, the ability to have a campfire and explore the south shore area. I would recommend staying at Sue’s cottage in Cumberland.

This cottage is located in a beautiful area. We spent a few hours on the beach exploring when the tide was out. The cottage is spacious, and there is lots of green space outside for games. The screened in porch is very nice. Very peaceful! The only thing to note is there is no view of the water from the cottage, just evergreens. Also, yes there is a washing machine, but that is an extra cost to use. Overall, a great home base for the week to explore the Island, as most everything (except the very west coast) is within an hour or hour and a half from this spot.

Excellent location, beautiful view from the top of the hill, and a quiet and peaceful spot to vacation. Easy beach access, to a safe, quiet beach with shallow sandbars and amazing low tide walking/exploring. Cottage is clean and comfortable. Only point of note is that there is not laundry access in the cottage (important to know for packing purposes).
