Our family of four enjoyed Ina and Fred’s suite. It was very pretty, quiet and peaceful but only 30-40 minutes outside of Nelson. It was well stocked with essentials. We spent a couple of days lounging on the private beach and paddle boarding around the bay. There were other guests on the property but we didn’t see them much. The hoss are very friendly and responsive to questions. We even got to meet the llamas! It’s a beautiful area- we’ll be back soon!

Ina and Fred were wonderful hosts. They were extremely accommodating when we had to come a day late. The kayaks and canoe were great to use and the dock is beautiful. Note that this suite has a shared wall with another the suite beside. We had 2 babies and the neighbours were less then pleased with us when they cried which just made for an overall more stressful trip. We loved the surroundings and the beautiful stay.

We had a delightful stay at Sunshine Bay Retreat! It is so peaceful there, even though there are 3 suites on the property, you each have your own space and there is plenty of room for everyone. We especially loved the dock and beach area. The steepness of the trail was a bit challenging for me, but it is not long and worth the short walk down. The suite is well provisioned and has everything you need and more. Ina and Fred are wonderful hosts, and we hope to return again.

If you can get a reservation, grab it! The area is beautiful, the lake is amazing and the suite was great. We had a fantastic stay, lots of room in the one bedroom suite. We had our 3 year old daughter, and this is perfect for a family. The beach and lake were lovely! We made some amazing family memories there We can't wait to go back. 😊

It was a short walk to the private beach but the property was so peaceful and relaxing. Llamas, pond and sitting area. Trails on property for strolls through the forest. It was an excellent vacation my family and I would return again. The service from the two host were fast and friendly very welcoming. All round wonderful experience
