The bunk house is in a beautiful location with views of the mountains. Plenty to do in the town of Abergavenny which is only a short drive away. The hosts were very friendly and around to talk to. The accommodation is quite basic so don’t expect any luxuries!

The bunk house was very pretty and full of character, and the garden very quaint. Rohan and Richard were very welcoming. The kitchen was well equipt. The location is divine, very peaceful with stunning views across the valley. The neighbouring donkeys and ducks were charming. We did have a pleasant stay, however it has to be said that downstairs (kitchen, bathroom and livingroom) was very cold. Although we were advised to bring lots of clothes to wear prior to arrival. Upstairs, where we slept, was marginally warmer. We would be very happy stay another time, although probably not in the colder winter months!

Sorry to say - a bad experience! I think the hosts aren't interested in maintaining or cleaning the place, it's like they've given up. We've NEVER seen accommodation as filthy and badly looked after as this. These comments have nothing to do with the type of accommodation - we understood it was going to be quite basic. But there was dirt everywhere and literally dozens of spiders and webs in every area. This is not a question of a recent infestation after cleaning – we suspect that the place is actually NEVER cleaned! Dust is piled up on every surface, there are old built up stains in the toilet and shower, the mattresses are thin, cheap and terribly uncomfortable. It was understood that bedding wouldn't be provided, so we brought our own, but the mattresses were covered with disgustingly dirty protectors. Communication was awful - specific questions went unanswered, but long and rambling directions were endlessly repeated. I had a literally sleepless & freezing night as heating off.

Very beautiful surroundings and lovely hosts. Could have done with a clean as there were loads of cobwebs but other than that very nice.
