We have stayed at many airbnbs and Meryl’s place really stands out. The setting is gorgeous as are the views. She and David have created a warm, comfortable, spacious home accented by their own artwork and incredibly impressive handmade furniture. It’s still a work in progress but we hardly noticed. It was the perfect place for a 60th birthday, eclipse-watching, quiet celebration. As a footnote, the caretaker, Rob, could not have been more gracious or helpful. We hope to return for many years.

This place was better than our wildest dreams. Will come back again and again. The unit was extremely clean, and looked after, the kitchen is an actual dream. If you have any desire to cook during your stay, you’ll find everything you need there. Both of the other units were occupied during our stay and it was still plenty private and peaceful. Never felt like we were on top of anyone, and everyone has their own space.

What a magical place. Stunning views, beautiful property with lovely trails, and the work and care the owners have put into the buildings is unbelievable. The loft space was a total sanctuary, peaceful and well-appointed. We had everything we needed and more. The woodstove was a real comfort during the cool winter evenings. The ample space to spread out in was a true luxury. Meryl and David have made something extraordinary here and it was a privilege to share it for a few days!

Everything was even better than expected. Attentive host and property manager made the family gathering run easily in a delightful place.The snowy landscape and quiet setting of the Kirby compound are inspiring. We enjoyed the artistic features and architectural attention to detail. The paintings and sculpture launched lots of discussion. A basket of art supplies was put to good use, and so were the trails.

This place has a beauty that makes you want to move to Vermont! There are absolutely stunning views all along the property, not to mention the sculptures! Plus, Meryl was wicked friendly & responsive. If you’re looking for a scenic place to get away, you’ve found a perfect stop. Not to mention how close you are to Lake Willoughby!
