The Grey Barn, a newly constructed custom home, offers the perfect base for all your outdoor adventures in the Northeast Kingdom. Ride your bike right off the property onto the extensive Kingdom Trails network. Burke Mountain base lodge is less than 5 minutes from the house offering easy access to the slopes in the winter and the downhill bike park in the summer. With stunning views of Burke Mountain, the Grey Barn is also the perfect spot to relax & enjoy the clouds rolling over the mountains. Property Overview: Accommodation: This spacious and well-appointed home comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. There is a bedroom with a king bed, bedroom with a queen bed, a bunk room with two twin beds and a king pull out sofa bed. There's plenty of space for families and friends to spread out and relax. Mountain Views: Enjoy breathtaking Burke Mountain and valley views from every room in the house. Amenities: Fully Equipped Kitchen: The kitchen has modern appliances, ample counter space, and all the cookware you'll need to prepare your meals. Outdoor Decks: Step outside onto one of the three decks at The Grey Barn, where you can savor your morning coffee or outdoor dinner. The decks are also a fantastic spot for sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing on clear nights. Cozy Living Spaces: The main living room features comfortable seating and a wood stove, perfect for cozy evenings with family and friends. Book this place - it's a beautiful modern space with a splash of ruggedness that can't be beat. Perfect for a rejuvenating weekend getaway for two (with lots of extra space!) or for an enjoyable community gathering. I plan to visit again.
We had a wonderful time at this house! As soon as we entered the house, we saw that Terrilyn had arranged for a bottle of maple syrup AND solar eclipse glasses for our group. The thoughtful touches and the attention to detail with the info really impressed us. This was my first time staying in a net-zero energy house and the technology and architecture was fascinating. The truly impressive part about the house is actually the unimpeded views of Burke slopes. We were content to just sit all day and just view the majestic views. We were able to view the eclipse from the backyard! Another plus point was that the check out instructions were not overwhelming (as I have experienced in some other places). Even with 3 kids in the group, we were able to have breakfast, get ready and leave comfortably by 10 am. Highly recommend this place!
The Gray Barn is a magnificent place for a family or group of friends. The location is very private with a stunning view of Burke Mountain. The house is very modern with great amenities and was impeccably clean when we checked in. We are a group of skiers and the house is just minutes to Mountain which made it very easy to get there early. I would highly recommend this house for anyone looking for peace and quiet or anyone that wants to enjoy the many outdoor recreation activities from hiking, biking, skiing and more.
The Grey Barn lives up to all its expectations. The entire home was spotless and the personal touches/ design will fit all your needs. You can tell a lot of time and effort went into making the guest feel right at home. Every room is flooded with beautiful natural light and views of Burke Mountain are unobstructed. And those sunsets!
Absolutely gorgeous home! We booked the Grey Barn for a ski vacation and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The hot tub and stunning views after a day of skiing were perfection. We would definitely book again!

Vermont roads can be challenging in the winter and mud season. We recommend you have a 4WD vehicle if you visit in winter and spring.
