Oh my heart!!! ❣️❣️ If I could pack up and live there I’d do it in a second! The property was really easy to access and right in front of the inner city wall entrance. Monica met us out front so we could park close and helped us in with our bags. The Spello House is a little piece of magic. Tastefully decorated with country chic charm. The kitchen had everything we needed and we did a lot of cooking there. Spello as a town is a wonderful place to walk around and get lost in. Some areas are a bit hilly but so worth the exercise! There are a number of restaurants and cafes in very short walking distance. Monica is an A Grade Host! Super responsive, insanely accommodating and helpful to the point I felt like I had an assistant included in the package! I’ll never stay anywhere else in Umbria and can’t wait to return 🙏🏽

Beautiful Apartment, wonderful town and wonderful Host! Meeting Monica, you feel like you are seeing a long time friend. She is helpful and kind. Her communication and thoughtfulness made us feel at home, safe and cared for. It was wonderful to have snacks and coffee already there for us. Beds are very comfy and lots of fresh air through the fantastic windows! Plenty of space to have your items in drawers or hung. Drying rack for laundry easily accessible. Location is great for easy access to the train station on foot and there is also a parking lot just around the corner. Be sure to visit the Bottega next door for meats and cheese! Thank you, Monica for sharing your kindness and lovely home with us :).

My family had a wonderful stay in Monica’s Spello House for 6-nights. It’s situated in a wonderful location in such a beautiful town. There is parking nearby and the train station is walking distance. There is also a grocery store a few minutes walking and a farmacia across the street if you need to pick up some necessities. The apartment is lovely with lots of charming details and has everything you would need. Monica was an outstanding host who always responded immediately and provided a lot of good suggestions for restaurants and other activities. Spello is a beautiful town and was a great base for day trips to other towns in the region. We also found that there was a lot to see and do in Spello for several days. I would highly recommend Spello House and would love to return someday.

The apartment is very well located, just inside the town walls with easy access to all the sites of Spello while also being a short walk to parking areas. The apartment is clean and thoughtfully decorated to maintain the traditional feel that is appropriate for being in a town steeped in so many layers of history, yet the apartment has modern conveniences like a washing machine, dishwasher, and air conditioning. The terrace offers a lovely setting to sit and enjoy a meal in the evenings. We would definitely want to stay again the next time we want a base for exploring Umbria.

I’m not sure I can really do justice to just how great Monica and her wonderful house in Spello are. The location is just ideal for being able to easily walk to the train station for day trips to locations such as Spoleto and Perugia and also for reaching the wonderful centro storico of spello which rises up from where the house is. It is very easy to reach all the wonderful areas of Spello’s historic center. Monica met us at the train station and got us all situated in the house. The house was well stocked with food which was really helpful as our plane had been delayed which made us very late to arrive. We were able to cook up a nice pasta meal with some fresh fruit and yogurt as well. The next time we are in Spello we will certainly stay at Monica’s.
