Spello is a hidden gem of a place and perfect for exploring around Umbria ( by car ) . The apartment is Perfect for two couples on holiday together as there’s lots of space which worked well . Roof terrace in particular is superb ! Never tired of the stunning views , sunsets and watching the swallows darting over the terracotta rooftops . Loved walking the beautiful little streets and alleyways adorned with beautiful flower filled window boxes pots . Everything was so close from the apartment - restaurants , little bars/ coffee and lovely little local craft shops with genuine quality handmade products . Luana was extremely helpful and responsive when we booked and Marina, the local manager was wonderful , can’t thank her enough for all her help . There was even a welcome and farewell phone call from the owner , Marissa - doesn’t get much more personal and friendly than that ! We loved our stay , Can’t wait to go back , hope this place stays as perfect as it is now . 🇮🇹🥰❤️
What an absolutely FANTASTIC stay from start to finish! The hosts were so helpful; we could not have asked for more. Luana gave us all the information we needed for our stay. She had lots of useful advice to offer us beforehand. She was very helpful and set us up with our local contact, Marina, who was a treasure! Marina went above and beyond; even coming to the car park with her son to meet us on our first day. We will always remember her kindness. The apartment was perfectly located for wonderful walks around Spello and for day trips to other hillside towns. The property itself was beautifully appointed and it had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. There was so much thought that went into the furnishings and the design; every window offered a scene that was its own work of art! And it was just so peaceful there. The views from the rooftop terrace were nothing short of spectacular. The sounds of the church bells and the birds will stay with us forever.
Fantastic! The apartment is spacious & comfortable with a stunning rooftop terrace with 360d view-sunrise, sunset & evening lights were amazing (Chiesa San Lorenzo bell tunes topped splendid days). My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Luana’s apartment. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and private. The rooftop terrace, accessed by easy stairs after opening a motorized skylight, offers a fabulous 360 degree view of the surrounding towns and valley. We only used one of the two bedrooms— both are sizable and well appointed. Our king bed was very comfortable. Both bathrooms were spotless. We opted to park our car in one of the upper lots just outside the city walls, as Luana suggested, and that worked well. The walk down to the apartment took just a few minutes. Spello is small, picturesque and very well situated for exploring the nearby the towns of Assisi, Montefalco, Bevagna, Perugia and Spoleto. After each outing, we were always delighted to come back to Spello and Luana’s apartment for the evening. For morning coffee, Bar Tullia is right downstairs or Bar Giardino down the street, where the husband and wife owners may happily break into song while preparing your order.
Great stay, Spello and the apartment are lovely. Be warned about the steep hill town and the steep stairs from the door of the apartment to the living area (there is an elevator from street level to the floor the apartment is on but stairs after you get inside). Also, more stairs to the rooftop terrace, but you are rewarded with the best view in town. Beautiful! The apartment is clean and comfortable. Nadia was very helpful in getting us to the correct parking lot…that was an ordeal! And she also helped quickly when the power went off. Would be great to have photos of the route to the parking lot and the lot itself for those unfamiliar with the town and area. Another host did this for us in another town in Italy and it helped so much!
