Overall we had a lovely stay at this place. The absolute best part of it was the team working there: Chintha the driver and main house manager is a funny and kind men, Thushari is the sweetest woman and makes great food, Vino is a creative soul and Suma will make you feel safe at night. They also helped us a lot with our babies, who also got close to them and we really feel like we met new friends! The premises are beautiful, rooms and pool are beautiful. The two less perfect aspects are the kitchen, which is not really set up for shared use: equipment could be improved and dedicated storage space for each room would be a better solution. The last negative aspect was the tone that Margaret has towards the team at times, making us uncomfortable when she would raise her voice and have disrespectful remarks towards them. Overall we had a unforgettable stay and the team made us fall in love with Sri Lanka and their beautiful culture and kind hearts

We had the most incredible holistic stay at Margaret's place. The space's highlight has to be the wonderful staff (Thushari, Uday and Chinta); they were lovely and made us feel right at home. While my friend and I did most of the cooking, Margaret ensured we had all the kitchen amenities, shared the spices/groceries/fruit and made some amazing avocado cream dessert for us. A side note: The AC was installed in my room after three nights, but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience because the property is quite breezy. For digital nomads/remote workers, the internet wasn't working well during our time, so I would check with Margaret if it has been repaired. For finding the place, the Airbnb location on the GPS isn't right. So manually put "Emels Retreat by Tropical Magnum," and it will bring you right to the door. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying at Emels. Margaret has created a beautiful, safe haven in Boossa, a great place to escape, swim, relax and rejuvenate.

Just spent two nights at this amazing place which is about 6km from Galle Road and approximately 14 km from Galle city. Tharanga was a wonderful co-host and made sure that we were well looked after. Manoj, our chef also made delicious Sri Lankan meals. I chose this place as I wanted my 89 year old father to enjoy his holiday with my wife and me. Tharanga made sure that my dad was well looked after. Margaret, although I couldn't meet her as she was overseas also made sure we were well taken care of. Adding to all this, the property was beautifully designed and is the perfect place to rejuvenate your spirit, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Paddy fields, birds chirping and two really sweet dogs who live on the property add to the charm of this place. I highly recommend staying at this place and wish Margaret and her co host, Tharanga all the very best. I look forward to staying here again when we visit Sri Lanka.

This is a wonderful quiet place with a stunning pool which is so warm that even a early morning swim was a real pleasure for us. Margarets property is located little bit off the main road but is the perfect place to relax the mind and enjoy life. Margarete and her team hosted us (2 adults, 1 child and 1 dog) for 2 nights and served us super delicious food prepared with much love. We had a wonderful and relaxing time and definitly will come back.
