Rockwater restaurant-bar is at the end of the road, with Hove’s other pubs, bars & restaurants within a 10-minute walk, or it's a short hop on the bus into buzzing, bustling Brighton. The entrance to the house has a cloakroom area for shoes and coats, leading through into a gracious hallway, with stairs and halls in two directions. Walk straight through into the large, open-plan kitchen-diner, with an oak island lined with bar stools and a round dining table that seats 10. Full-width glass doors lead onto the west-facing garden. The kitchen has a Sonos music system, which you are welcome to connect to wirelessly from the Sonos app. At the end of the corridor leading off the kitchen is the sitting room, with a piano, open fire, and flat-screen TV including Netflix and Amazon Prime, perfect for cosy movie nights in. The west-facing garden has two decked areas with seating in each. The west-facing terrace has a retractable awning, rattan sofa seating and a dining table and chairs, ideal for sundowner drinks. At the far side of the garden is a built-in, circular seating area on a second deck. The first floor comprises the master bedroom, with super-king size bed, oblique sea views and an ensuite that also serves as the family bathroom, with a large shower and super-sized bath. Also on the first floor are a large and a small twin room which can both convert to king-sized doubles with zip and link beds, plus a large double room with king-sized bed and ensuite shower room, all looking over the garden. On the second floor is our lovely loft room, with a queen-sized bed and a spacious ensuite shower room. Great oblique views of the sea if you look out of the window. At the end of the road is the fabulous Rockwater restaurant & bar, serving food and drink on its rooftop and beach terraces, perfect for sundowners. Facilities: The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 ovens, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher, and all the usual kitchen gadgets (Nespresso machine, food processor, blender, slow cooker) as well as crockery and serving dishes for large group meals. The utility room just off the kitchen-diner has a washing machine, tumble dryer and airer. Early check-ins and late check-outs available on request, subject to availability and a small additional fee. Please note that as this is our family home, there will be a certain amount of personal possessions around.
