Madampa House is a beautiful villa, full of wonderful surprises, from the view of the lake, the swimming pool, the dining areas and the wildlife! On top of this Jayantha and the staff were excellent, attending to every detail with perfection. The Sri Lankan food was so tasty and the hospitality was 1st class. Jayantha arranged an itinerary packed with wonderful experiences that our family will cherish forever. Thanks for everything and I really hope we return soon 😁

Madampe House is a real treat: A beautiful house in a local neighborhood, surrounded by nature, gives you tranquility and space to indulge into Sri Lankan life and culture. A five minute walk to the nearest beach or Ayurveda spa. Jayantha and the ladies have taken great care of us and have spoiled us a lot with varying breakfasts, really tasty dinners. And many smiles. Whenever you ask for something, they do help you immediately - whether it is an extra coffee, fresh juice or someone to come to the house for massage or yoga. We loved the space and do truly recommend it to everyone.

Our family (4 children aged 21, 20, 18 & 12) spent 6 nights at Madampe House & it was perfect. Jayantha & his team were exceptional & we felt completely spoilt. The property itself is stunning; the 3 double bedrooms are all large with fabulous balconies - watching the bird life & Indian flying foxes every night was amazing. The open plan design on the ground floor is beautiful - inside/outside living at its best. The garden is on the edge of Madampe Lake & has a huge amount of wildlife - the water monitor lizards, mongooses, palm squirrels, eagles, parakeets, sunbirds, openbills, weavers, kingfishers, ibis, herons, egrets, barbets … the list goes on! Breakfasts are a daily feast & being brought a fresh juice while reading or playing in the pool was a real treat. We ate at Madampe 5 nights - the food is outstanding, the fish & shellfish so fresh and delicious. We will miss sitting outside under the pergola in sunshine & warm, dark evenings being looked after by the most welcoming host.

Madampe House is a dream. We stayed there with a 4month old and a toddler (entire place for ourselves and loved it). Jayantha became a friend - so helpful, friendly, available and prosctive. He took us on several trips around the area and organised everything for us. The best possible local host. Amazing fresh Sri Lankan food cooked every day for us by Anoush and Babi. A very authentic quiet place. Very good if you’re looking for a relaxing alternative to hotels and resorts. We could have stayed there forever…we will be back!!!
