A short drive up the road is Douglas Apsley National Park which is a great swimming hole in summer and a great place for a cold-water plunge! Drive a little bit further south, and you will find Freycinet National Park and Friendly Beaches along the iconic Freycinet Peninsula. There are pockets of Vineyards from Bicheno to Rocky Hills just South of Swansea. If you are a water person there are plenty of water sports to enjoy such as Freycinet Paddle (boarding), Freycinet sea kayaking, Freycinet Fishing Charters and Freycinet Water Taxi. Bushwalking through Freycinet national parks and reserves or taking a quad bike tour with all 4 adventures also make memorable experiences if you love the Tasmanian bush.
