What a gem of a place on a beautiful tranquil island- a truly unique place to stay. Andrew’s villa had everything we needed whilst we were there. Having the boat was absolutely necessary and it was fabulous visiting places on the lakeside. Andrew was always quick to respond to messages and gave us very good advice and help when we needed it for a medical matter. We have made some fond memories staying in this amazing place.

This place is unique. The island is small, it's a nice 5-10mn walk through a single street to see it all. From the house, you look out right on Sant Giulio, and of course with vistas of the lake and the hills/mountains all around. Like other reviewers, we rented the bigger boat which was well worth it - easy and fast to go all around the lake to explore! The house itself is perfectly comfortable, though don't expect a fully updated/modernized place. The owner lives there for most/part of the time, so expect a more 'homey' feel rather than a more hotel-like feel of a place used mostly for rentals. Andrew was extremely communicative and friendly. He met us at the square and then took us over by boat to the house. Note that there's an e200 cleaning fee, to take into account with the rental fee. All in all though, this is a truly unique experience. The lake is just tremendous, with lots to explore!

Andrew’s place is fabulous. It’s a beautiful historic building that’s both charming and comfortable. Being right on the lake is wonderful and we greatly enjoyed boating back-and-forth to the town and to other places on the lake. Andrew was a wonderful host who is extremely responsive and helpful, and the Villa is equipped with everything you might want. There were a few minor downsides; the lake is very busy on the weekends with ferries taking tourists back-and-forth to the island, and there are some mosquitoes that are fairly easily controlled. Overall, it was extremely pleasant and relaxing.

Villa Monziani è un posto straordinario, fuori dal tempo, capace di rilassare chiunque lo abiti, e dandoti la voglia di restarci il più possibile. accogliente, ricco, rigenerante, il tutto grazie anche e soprattutto a Andrew che è un host fantastico, dal carisma e disponibilità rara e impeccabile. Difficilissimo lasciarla, ci si innamora subito di tutto il quadro. ogni finestra è un dipinto a cielo aperto.

I can honestly say that our stay at Villa Monziani was by far the best thing about our trip to Europe! We stayed at Andrew's place at the end of July 2023 for a family get-together. The villa is gorgeous and full of charm, the location was unbeatable, and our host Andrew was so generous with his time and hospitality. We will never forget mornings swimming in the Lago d'Orta, afternoon aperitivos in the garden, and riding the motorboat to explore the different sights around the lake. Andrew was an impeccable host, he was extremely responsive and helpful, and we appreciated getting to know his little corner of Italy. Ciao, Andrew, and thank you for everything!
