Chulmleigh is a charming village in Devon with a true, traditional sense of community. It is enjoyable to stroll through this area of Devon, which is still largely undeveloped, with its winding cobblestone streets, rows of thatched cottages, courtyards, and friendly inns. It is a popular site all year round, offering both winter and summer treks. The 180-mile Tarka Trail begins at the close-by Eggesford Forest, which is located on the banks of the River Taw, and travels along a charming route through woods while providing breathtaking vistas of moorland. Birdwatchers will find kingfishers, cormorants, goosanders, and dippers along the peaceful riverbanks of Chulmleigh, which is particularly ideal for them.
