In this much sought after location, Bamburgh village is 1½ miles away with its magnificent Castle and good eating places. The outstanding sandy beach stretches for miles north and south along the Heritage Coastline and Bamburgh boasts an excellent and challenging links golf course. GROUND FLOOR Living room with feature log burning stove, TV/DVD and doors to garden. Dining area with doors to garden. Kitchen/dining room with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. Utility room with washer/dryer. Cloakroom with WC and basin. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with king size bed, en suite shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Bedroom 3 with king size bed. Bedroom 4 with two single beds. Bathroom with bath, over shower, WC and basin. OTHER FACILITIES Large enclosed front lawn garden, patio and furniture, and back lawn garden not enclosed. Cottage was cheaper to book from Northumbria Coastal Cottages, kitchen requires an upgrade, handles fell off during stay.
A beautiful and spacious cottage for the 8 of us. The rooms were decent sizes with very comfortable beds. The living space was perfect and had plenty of space and seating for all of us. It was lovely and warm once we got in and stayed cozy throughout. The kitchen could do with a larger bin, (8 people means a lot more rubbish than an under the sink bin can handle), but that's a minor detail in what is a wonderful place to stay, even in february. Bamburgh village and castle are only a short drive away, but also easily walkable and have some lovely pubs.
A beautiful cottage on the outskirts of Bamburgh. Spacious, comfortable and welcoming, when we arrived it was decorated for Christmas which was a lovely surprise. The enclosed, lawned garden was ideal for our dog. We had a wonderful family break here and would definitely recommend this lovely property.

The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.
