Dating back to the 1820s, this semi-detached property was home to the Co-operative manager during the 1900s. It was then purchased by the current owners in the 1970s, and recently refurbished in 2021. The house maintains many of the original features and character and is a comfortable and welcoming holiday home at any time of the year. The ground floor is taken up with a spacious living room, the real hub of the house, which has cosy seating. A dining room leads off there, and there is also a modern fitted kitchen. The back door leads to a small courtyard with seating and a barbeque for al fresco eating. The first floor has three well-presented, spacious bedrooms: one kingsize, one double and one twin. The family shower room offers a large walk-in shower. Step outside and the local pub, cafés and restaurants are a few minutes’ walk away. A little further afield Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre appeals to all ages, and is home to great fly-fishing ponds. The tourist town of Crieff is only a 7-mile drive, with a famous whisky distillery, visitor’s centre and historic buildings. Drummond Castle makes for a superb day out, dating back to the 17th century and sitting amidst stunning gardens which were used in the filming of the epic TV series ‘Outlander’.
