On the third level you will find the private rooftop deck, where you can savor your morning coffee while soaking in the panoramic views of Cape Town, including the iconic Table Mountain. Parking: Between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 on weekdays, street parking is reserved for residents with parking permits. We provide a permit to guests which must be displayed in the vehicle parking permits must be returned upon checkout. Failure to return the permit or damage to the permit will result in a R950 charge for replacement

Unterkunft war wie beschrieben, ruhige Lage in einer Sackgasse. Schöne Einrichtung, alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit. Das einzige Problem war die fehlende Klimaanlage. Bei hohen Temperaturen ist es sehr warm in der Unterkunft, vorallem Nachts. Kommunikation war hervorragend, die Mitarbeiter waren jederzeit hilfsbereit und erreichbar.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property, which is very spacious, in waking distance to cafes & shops, the view from the rooftop is amazing, and there is even a little playground right behind the house for kids.
The unit was very beautiful, well designed and very clean. We were able to check in a couple hours earlier which was much appreciated. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and it's absolutely beautiful. A few things to note: the swimming pool was not as big as we thought, in fact it was only about 4 feet deep, about 4 foot wide and 10 feet long (I'm just guessing) but definitely not a pool to swim in. Also the picture showed trees on one side of it but that was actually part of the park next door. The other thing it stated one parking spot but we got a parking pass to park on the street and there wasn't always space available nearby. It was a little noisy with construction in the next unit but they informed me that it was almost done so that's probably not an issue now. They did text me a few times wanting access to the pool as I had an issue, which I didn't. We finally let them in to maintain it. Having said that it really was a lovely place to stay.
Where do I even begin.. firstly the rooftop swimming pool (the selling point of the property) was a swamp. I reported the issue at check in and it was never resolved. Secondly the flying cockroaches ?! I spent all of my evenings ducking & diving as they flew around the main level of the airbnb. Thirdly, there was not a lick of hot water for my entire stay - I had ice cold showers every day for 4 days. Lastly there is no AC in this airbnb which means you have to leave the sliding doors open for some relief from the heat. Overall, the airbnb is gorgeous but I didn’t get to enjoy my stay as I had to spend most of my time outside the house cause I couldn’t use the pool during some of the hottest days of the summer (the reason I even booked the airbnb in the first place) so I had to spend extra on day passes to pools around the city. The flying cockroaches also forced me to spend time out of the airbnb so I definitely regret my decision to book this property.

De Waterkant is a sub-district of the suburb of Green Point. An extremely central location tucked between Table Mountain, the bustling city centre and the prestigious V&A Waterfront; and neighboured by the historically coloured district of Bo-Kaap (in truth, De Waterkant is a modernised rendition of the Bo-Kaap).
The mixed Georgian, Cape Dutch and Asian colourful architecture, cobbled streets and historical standing is what makes De Waterkant so unique. The bright, 18th century cottages offer authentic ‘local’ living, nestling on the lower slopes of Signal Hill overlooking Table Bay.
De Waterkant is often described as being arty, charismatic and quaint and is a truly special place decorated with gorgeous al fresco restaurants, sidewalk cafés, boutique shops and bars; and is also home to the Cape Quarter shopping mall (all within walking distance).
It is often compared with Greenwich Village in New York.

Many amenities are within walking distance and taxis or Uber readily service the area.
A bus stop for a popular MyCiti bus route is nearby. This is a reliable bus service with routes taking you to the inner City. It connects to other routes going to the V&A Waterfront, Clifton & Camps Bay beaches, as well as Hout Bay fishing village.
The red open top "hop-on hop-off" City Sightseeing bus stops is a great way to get to know and explore our city and it's surrounds.
