This was the perfect spot for our group of 5. We had 3 adults and two children. Our 7 year old slept comfortably on the cot in the master bedroom where my husband and I stayed (queen bed), our 9 year old slept in the room with the fold out couch, the other adult in the queen bedroom off the kitchen. We all had ample privacy in our respective bedrooms, even in a small space. It’s well laid out, very clean, simple and easy to figure everything out. The dipping pool outside is super nice, too. We were in town for our son’s surf comp and being one block to the beach entrance by Lola’s was as convenient as it gets. If we needed to run home for more snacks or sunscreen, it was just a few minutes walk. We loved everything about our stay! Jose was super accommodating and so easy to work with from start to finish. He even allowed a late check out since the comp went into the middle of the day, so we could come back and shower before getting on the road. Highly recommend!

Our visit was amazing from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. There was a lot of communication with the host at all times. The house is 2 mins away from the beach and you can walk there easily. The house is very well equipped and private, separated from the other houses and with its own parking spaces. The pool is really nice and well kept, maintenance was done everyday. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay for families. We went with my mom, sister, 2 yo daughter and my husband. Main room is huge with enough space for a pack and play. House is walking distance to the beach which makes it very convenient for families with young kids. The kitchen was not very clean but not a deal breaker… I let the owner know and hopefully it won’t happen again. I recommend staying here.

Loved our stay at Little Hawaii! Easy walk to the beach, Lola’s, surf, yoga, coffee, everything. José is an excellent host and his accommodations are comfortable and clean. Look forward to future trips!

Jose's beach house in Playa Avellanas was a perfect house for my family of 4 which includes 3 & 7 year olds. The house itself is just as described and pictured so what you see and what you read is what you get. The location is awesome! It is a short walk to the main beach area in Avellanas and to Lola's beach restaurant. Picking a house that the beach was walkable to was super important to me as most places in Avellanas require driving or a long walk to the beach. Jose is a great host and was super quick to respond to my requests for advice or help picking restaurants. I completely recommend staying here and for sure will return. Pura vida!
