This lovely property is close to the heart of a friendly and welcoming Lakeland village. A beautiful cottage offering cosy accommodation for up to four guests, the property is perfect for couples seeking a tranquil getaway or families enjoying a quiet country holiday. With a beck streaming past the side, this delightful cottage makes a wonderful base for exploring the Cartmel Peninsula, Morecambe Bay and the southern parts of the Lake District. With oak beams, exposed stonework, window seats and a traditional wood burner set in an inglenook fireplace, this picturesque cottage makes a great retreat to snuggle up in. The adorable lounge is tastefully furnished and is perfect for relaxing in the evening. There’s also a delightful country-style kitchen and a charming dining room, which is ideal for sharing a family meal. A beautiful staircase leads up to the two cosy bedrooms (one en-suite master) and stylish bathroom on the first floor. Outside, the garden is divided into a number of charming sections, with paved, terraced areas, a pretty lawn and plenty of outdoor furniture so you can dine alfresco. A small beck runs past the cottage, where you may spot ducks, trout and maybe even the occasional water vole. Known for its marvellous sticky toffee pudding, the historic village of Cartmel has a number of village shops and pubs, and is home to a 12th-century priory and the Cartmel Priory Gatehouse heritage centre. There are numerous spectacular walks and cycle trails across the Cartmel Peninsula, with local landmarks and attractions including Holker Hall and Gardens, Hampsfell (both 2 miles), Sizergh Castle (11 miles) and Levens Hall (13 miles). The lovely coastal town of Grange-over-Sands overlooks Morecambe Bay (2.5 miles). Inland, you can explore Windermere (6.5 miles), Esthwaite Water (12 miles) and Coniston Water (15 miles).
