This gorgeous apartment, situated in the centre of Carlisle, 1 mile from the beautiful cathedral, is the perfect place for a luxurious stay for two couples. Sleeping four over two peaceful bedrooms, this stunning property sits in a converted Victorian townhouse that offers a range of contemporary apartments. Set in the ideal location for exploring Cumbria, the Lake District and the Scottish Borders, there’s so much to explore from your door. Head to Scotland’s famous Gretna Green (13 miles) for a bit of romance, the Lake District Wildlife Park (24 miles) for views of Skiddaw, or Alston (28 miles) for the South Tynedale Railway. The property, which is accessed via three steps to the front door into a shared entrance hall, is spacious and welcoming. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright thanks to the large picture window and clean, stylish interiors; cook up a storm in the glossy kitchen and dine at the table in front of the window or get comfy on the large sofa in front of the TV to wind down. High ceilings, period features and a wood burner-effect electric fire encourage you to get cosy. When it’s time for bed, head to either the king-size or double bedroom (on the lower ground level); each has a stunning wood-panelled feature wall and dressing table.
