We really enjoyed Tess's place for our long weekend golf trip to Wellington. The house is very spacious with excellent amenities and extremely well finished. It has gas hot water and central heating. We cook a big breakfast before going out for the day and found the kitchen well appointed with enough equipment for a large group. There were six of us and we were able to be accommodated with individual rooms which again were well appointed and finished to a high standard. The house is very centrally located with shops, food outlets and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is close to the city, public transport and motorway access. I would highly recommend Tess's place to any family group traveling to Wellington and I am sure that my family and friends will stay there again in the future.

This is a beautiful house, 1900s era and exceptionally well maintained. Four of the bedrooms were really spacious, and the other two a decent size. We had a group staying and everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen works well for a group too. Once we got the heating on the house warmed up very quickly. It does feel like someone's home, two bedrooms are very much children's rooms due to the decor and the art and furnishings are all a specific taste. But there was no clutter anywhere, plenty of space in wardrobes etc. We didn't get to use the outdoor area much but it would be great for summer evenings.
