Welcome to the Finley neighborhood. This triangular community is surrounded on 2 sides by canals and all streets in our neighborhood end in a "park" with a vew of the canals and some have access to drop a paddle board. Our house is one of the closest to the boulevard that leads everyone in and off of the bigger peninsula and even closer to all the restaurants, boutiques, bakeries, Art Deco Lido Theatre and specialty shoppes of the Lido Village Wharf area . We are a short 2 to 3 minute walk to the Lido Wharf, which is akin to a mini Rodeo Drive experience with its red bricked streets and specialty shops. Intimate concerts on "The Deck" and occasional Farmers Market per the Lido Village website (only goes 1 month out). In the Lido Village, you will find venues such as a perfumery that tailors fragrances, a book nook, a couple award winning bakeries, restaurants by the wharf, and clothing shoppes. Lido Theater nearby features independent movies and is part of the Newport Film Festival in the Fall. If you want to rent a boat, the village has affordable electric boats (Vision Rentals) to take trips around the canal areas and into the Back Bay nature preserve nearby. The famous Cannery Restaurant is a 5 to 7 minute walk. Our house is a 5 to 7 minute walk to Pavillions Supermarket, 10 minute walk to the sand and firepits, and 15 to 20 minute walk to the Newport Pier.

PARKING: The Finley neighborhood is like a peninsula on the peninsula and is surrounded on 2 sides by canals which can be accessed at the end of each street. Due to the topography of the area, parking is more easy as there is less beach goers here (we are 10 minute walk to the sand). Finley is the only neighborhood on the peninsula with FREE parking. All other neighborhoods are permit based or have meters. Street sweeping is Monday and Friday (some streets are Monday, and some streets are Friday). The city frequently fines violators who park on street sweep days during stated morning hours. Permit parking is available along Lido which is enforced 8AM to 6PM and free afterward. There is also a parking structure located across the street for $50 per 24 hours on the rare times you can't find a parking spot. The house is next door to a restaurant parking lot. The restaurant will tow any overnight parking, but allows 30 minute parking.
