The house was beautiful and we lived in the gazebo. I wish the chairs weren’t zip tied to the railing as we wanted to play games and eat out there. But it was still our go to place for the gorgeous views, breezes and geckos. The house was perfect for us. And we loved Keona Point beach which was more secluded. It does take time to travel anywhere from there so if you need to move around plan accordingly
Gerne wieder
The views were amazing. Me and my family really enjoyed it here and felt right at home.
This was a great house and exactly as advertised. It was well stocked with beach items, good kitchen supplies, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, shampoo and conditioner, etc. The location is really pretty and nestled in a volcano valley. There aren't a lot of good restaurants nearby, but Makaha beach park was fun to watch surfers, Poka'i Bay Beach Park was great to bring our baby (and we saw sea turtles!), and the Ka'ena Point trail was a stunning hike. All of that was within a 15 minute drive. There's a big grocery store nearby as well. This property was well manages and super clean. Recommended!
Pacific Hale was an astounding representation of a Hawaii perfect vacation. It was easy to access and the security in front is very friendly! I loved the neighborhood and the sights just standing from the front door. The inside of the house is glorious and cozy, with comfortable bedrooms and roomie bathrooms. The backyard was beautiful with a nice gazebo and comfortable furniture. You can watch the sunset just from those couches! I would definitely recommend this home for any family or comfortable friendly trips for anyone! Just an fyi though for families, in the back yard is a low hillside so a little caution for small children.
The town's main attraction is Makaha Beach, mainly among surfers - it's one of the most popular beach in the world. However, there
are plenty of other beautiful and more calm beaches suitable for swimming and snorkeling of all levels. Every year surf events take place here, such as the Town and Country Pro, the Buffalo's Big Board Classic and the Rell Sunn's Menehune Surfing Championships. It's an ideal spot for surfers of all skill levels. Wave heights reach anywhere from 2 feet just behind the reef to 30+ feet at the so-called Makaha Bowl. Some of the biggest waves ever have been ridden here, including Greg Noll's famous ride during the huge swell of 1969 when waves were between 40 to 50 feet high.
The beach is wide and is also a nice spot for sunbathing and swimming. The best area for going into the water to just play and swim is the center of the beach, where there is no reef. The waves are calmest during the summer when there may be no surf at all. The high waves usually occur in the winter months. When the surf is up, the beach is known for its strong rip currents. Then it is recommended to stay out of the water.
Another popular activity at Makaha Beach is diving. The Makaha Caverns is a great dive spot featuring a series of arches, caverns and overhanging ledges, located just outside of the surfing area. But usually, diving is only possible during calm waters.
Another beautiful beach nearby is Pokai Beach. This is a family beach with smaller waves and more calm waters on the left (looking out to the ocean) and some surf waves on the right.
There’s an excellent beach side restaurant there called: The Beach

You can get a rental car or use ride shares. Given the serene location and amazing sites nearby,
you will likely prefer to rent a vehicle. There are plenty of traditional options as well as car and
ride shares available, like Turo, Hui, etc. PLEASE ASK ABOUT OUR JEEP ON TURO and we will be happy to share the link.
You can get a rental car or use ride shares. Also, there is the Oahu bus, which is a great way to get around the island if you opt not to get an Oahu car rental. The Honolulu bus system is actually ranked as one of the best transit systems in the world. That’s pretty impressive with over 72 million satisfied Honolulu bus riders per year!
Waikiki is about 35 miles away. North Shore is about 35 miles away. Makaha beach is a 5 min drive.
