Casa Bonita is absolutely beautiful. It is off the beaten path on the south end of Isla Mujeres. The pool and beach space are meticulously maintained. The staff does daily cleaning and turndown service. They also provide drinking water which is a huge help. We stayed here with our two kids and it was perfect for us. The place is nothing fancy, if you’re looking for a big hotel experience this isn’t for you. You’re on your own to figure out stocking the fridge, etc. But you can’t beat the quiet, the views, the kindness of the folks that run this place. Walking distance to ATM, corner store, pharmacia, restaurants, good coffee. We would typically walk up the hill from the house to catch a taxi or walk nearby. Highly highly recommend.

We spent a week at Casa Bonita. The area is beautiful, the grounds are well kept, but the rooms and buildings could use updating. The listing states that the kitchen is ‘fully equipped,’ but if you plan to do cook more than simple microwave meals, the amenities are sparse. We brought basic pantry items in hopes of cooking some of our own meals, but were unable to use them since the cooking utensils and pot/pan size were inadequate to cook a meal with. Daily housekeeping was a nice touch that is not included in the description, as well as a big jug of water supplied on the room - refilled throughout stay. Staff are all very nice and accommodating.

What an amazing stay we had. Beautiful place with amazing views. Super quiet space. Everyone was warm, friendly and very helpful. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful outdoor space. Pros: - Beach, although small, very nice and pier with beautiful clear area to swim and snorkel. Bring own snorkeling. - Quiet and private. A little hard to find but only steps from Kin Ha beach club that is family friendly free snorkeling, paddle board, kayaking and items provided with purchase of food/drink and no cover. - Staff provided water refills on request and housekeeping every 2-3 days. Not mentioned in ad. - nice pool and deck Cons: - upon entry this place looks like it needs TLC. Worn and damaged furnishings in & out, tile, art. Less clean than anticipated. - Showers warm. Just use hot water only and wait. - gas is used so would have liked to been told in description or when I asked for my safety. Bring portable alarm. -kitchen minimal. Not meant for true cooking as just bare basic items. Does have microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker. Limited cooking utensils and minimal cups. - pricey vs worth compared to previous stays on island at other rentals.
