We were very impressed by the beauty of this old stone house, particularly all the stunning Christmas decorations which made it feel like home from home. It was well equipped for the 10 of us to stay there, with additional touches like bath robes too which was appreciated. We enjoyed opening our Christmas presents all sitting in the lounge in front of the log fire, with quality street chocolates to eat and fresh flowers to enjoy that Joan had provided. There was Chess for the boys to play & a piano too. Breakfasts together all round the table were a treat and then we were out for the rest of the day with family. We enjoyed walking around Castle Ashby nearby. The location was very peaceful but convenient for access to all Northampton's amenities. The pheasantry was a great discovery & feel sure we will be returning.

We had a lovely weekend here. Huge house, nicer than the photos with an incredible garden - our kids loved the giant rope swing!

We visited Joan and David’s property whilst staying in Northampton for my cousins wedding. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and fit our family of 9 adults plus two babies in very easily. It had everything we needed to make it a comfortable stay and we really enjoyed use of the outdoor space and garden in the sunshine. Joan and David were extremely friendly and communicative, would definitely recommend

A true home away from home. Joan and David's warmth, kindness and beautiful home always has us coming back. The whole family including kids and granparents had a lovely countryside break in a beautiful home and gorgeous gardens. We didn’t want to leave and look forward to going back.
