Beautiful cook's kitchen stocked with all you need. Over 1/2 mile waterfront on property and fun hiking trails on and near our property. This two bedroom with loft is located in a serene setting next to the Cane River. The home is an 80-year old restored farmhouse, nestled in the mountains just 35 minutes from Asheville. *No fishing in March. Sleeps up to 6 with 2 bedrooms and sleeping loft. After you settle in to the Farmhouse on the Cane in Burnsville NC, take some time to sit on the rocking chair porch with a glass of wine or sweet tea. The rockers are hand-made by locals. You can listen to the water as it flows over the natural rocks and giant boulders and the water passes along the shores of the pristine Cane River.

We wanted a mountain retreat by a river and that is exactly what we got. The house was like out of a magazine. Well decorated and we wanted for nothing. They even had firewood available for if we wanted an outside fire (which we did). We even stayed an extra day because it was so nice.
We felt at home the minute we walked in the door! The kitchen is wonderful and well equipped, they thought of everything! The beds are big and comfy with soft sheets and comforters. Unfortunately, we had rainy weather and were unable to enjoy the fire pit by the babbling creek. Check in instructions were very clear and the host provided a nice binder with brochures, menus and lists of things to do in the area. We will definitely be returning!
Such a peaceful place. Good fishing and awesome kitchen with an old farmhouse feel.
You could not ask for a better place to stay. Lisa thought of everything we needed.

Rural but plenty of amenities and restaurants in town about 6 miles - Burnsville NC. Asheville about 40 min drive.
We fell in love with the amazing 'Andy Griffith/ Old Town' feel of Burnsville North Carolina (Only 10-mins away) with the friendliest people you'll ever meet. The natural beauty of the the Blue Ridge Mountains with local farms will shave years off your stress level.
We very convenient to Asheville, only 35-minutes away and 2.5 hours to Charlotte, so we're very easy to get to.
