Well, we appreciated very low price of this place, compared to all other NYC options. However, this low price comes with a "cost" for sure. Let's start with what was good: - Erick communicated well - room and bathroom were nice and clean - we were greeted with bottled water and fresh fruit on our arrival - there was a lot of clean towels available for us - we were provided even with a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel and shapmoo, which was really nice What was not so good: - the building hallway is just discusting (smell of pee everywhere and homeless people at night) - no place to put our own belongings (all drawers and other places in the room were full of the owner's stuff) What was terrible: - this place is extremely noisy, which is not mentioned in the description. The room window is right next to the elevated subway rails and the window has absolutely no sound proofing. Neighborhood extremely noisy too (loud music, cars) - there was a strong smell of gas in the kitchen

Great stay! Very accomodating, friendly and made us feel at home. The train will drop you right at the front door so very easy to get into the city. Would stay again

Thanks, but no thanks! Information und Check-in war super easy. So konnten wir das Haus und die Wohnung leicht finden. Allerdings hat es im Hausflur nach Urin gerochen. Im Zimmer angekommen wurden wir böse überrascht. Der Boden war dreckig, auf den Kommoden stand noch sehr viel persönliches Zeug und eine Ecke war vollgestopft. Die Möbel waren teilweise kaputt. Eine Seite des Fensters, wo die Klimaanlage steckt, war komplett offen, sodass es ziemlich laut im Zimmer war. Nicht nur ist die Subway Haltestelle gleich um die Ecke, ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß, auch die Gleise verläuft in gleicher Höhe des Zimmerfensters, knapp 30-50 Meter entfernt. An schlafen wäre also nicht zudenken gewesen. Außerdem waren diverse Löcher und Risse in Wänden und Decke. Die Zimmertür ließ sich abschließen, aber das Schloss sah nicht mehr ganz so vertrauenswürdig aus. Schön und gemütlich ist anders!! Der Mieter der Wohnung, welcher nicht Erick ist, war sehr überrascht als er heim kam, dass das Zimmer vermietet ist.

Lovely stay, lovely host. Should be noted the room is right next to the subway line so not easy to sleep with the train 20ft away
