Redmarley D'Abitot · 农家乐里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.5卫 · 可住2人 · Idyllic & charming rural farm with private rooms
Come and stay in rural Gloucestershire on an equestrian property. Home to Italian Olympic event rider and a yard of competition horses, the farm is a stunning and comfortable, yet rustic place to base yourself from to explore Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. The property is based on a working farm so don’t expect soho farmhouse, but the views are second to none and the charm of this little farm has many visitors coming back again and again. King size rooms with access to the rest of the house. The king sized comfortable bedrooms are situated in a lovely characterful single storey cottage, which has had influence from both Italy and the Isle of Mull. The farm is in an extremely quiet location where you will only hear sounds of horses, there is no traffic and tranquil silence in the evenings. The house has a blissful terrace to eat or relax on which looks out over incredible views of horses grazing in rolling fields which back on to Pauntley Church from where Dick Whittington set off to London. The Malvern Hills, Bredon Hill and the top of Tewkesbury Abbey can also be spotted in the distance in the far reaching views of hills and fields. A well equipped kitchen with an Aga, a cosy living room with a double sided log burner, as well as the two bathrooms, are shared with possible other guests and myself. Not forgetting Pickle the cat, and Teddy the friendly dog who are also residents of the house! The bedrooms have extremely comfortable beds and are well equipped with storage space, a hairdryer, towels, blankets and basic supplies. Breakfast will be left ready either on the kitchen table or out on the decking. Dinner with traditional Italian cooking can on occasion be arranged in the kitchen or in the dining room. The main bathroom has a shower and bath as well as heated towel rail for cold seasons. I can offer a rustic but very comfortable stay. The house and rooms will be clean but remember we have animals around and a business based on outdoor activities on a working equestrian yard adjacent!
Highly recommended, great & different experience with my son. Worth to spend more time there
We as anAMAZING 2nights at Vittoria’s home She was super flexible ( and resolved my mistake in booking very quickly) She was so friendly and communicative Her home is I. The most splendid surroundings and we enjoyed breakfast on the outside table Thank you so much
Vittoria is a wonderful host. She is always responsive and makes things easy. The property is an amazing space that offers a calm and nurturing environment. The staff was helpful and kind. The breakfast provided was complete, with really nice eggs, toast, cereal or fruit. It was a great stay.
Despite the idyllic, quiet location we are 10 minutes from the M50, 20 mins from Gloucester and Ledbury and 10 minutes from the local amenities of Newent.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Locally, there are plenty of footpaths nearby through the quiet village and the numerous glorious orchards that surround us. The Malvern hills are a 20minute drive away, with plenty of trails to hike to the peaks with sensational 360^ views, there are historic market towns to explore, as well as lots of pubs nearby to reward yourself after your efforts!
Ledbury, a historic market town famed for it’s timber framed buildings and black and white raised town hall is 15mins away and home to Eastnor Castle and several festivals, including the world-famous Ledbury Poetry Festival, but it is also perfectly placed for exploring some of the UK’s most incredibly beautiful natural areas including the Cotswolds, Wye Valley and Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean, and the ever-present Malvern Hills.
Ross-on-Wye is approx. a 25 minute drive and has a selection of great restaurants and is heaven for those wanting a selection of outdoor adventures to choose from – you can canoe, paddle board and wild swim in the river, and there are loads of hiking and mountain biking routes in the Forest of Dean and Beechenhurst.
Cheltenham racecourse is a 30minute drive if you want to coincide your visit with a race meeting. The award winning Three Choirs Vineyard is 5 minutes away down quiet country lanes, where you can visit their restaurant to sample their wines and incredible food, or go all out for the wine tasting experience, which includes lunch and a vineyard tour!
Hellens Manor in Much Marcle is just 15 minutes drive away and they have a farmers market on the first Saturday of each month 9.30 - 11.30 with a breakfast cafe. Hampton Court Castle is nearby with it's beautiful gardens, river walks and Orangery restaurant. St Mary's Church at Kempley; owned by English Heritage has sensational Norman wall paintings and the oldest timber roof structure in the UK, all in a beautiful unspoilt spot.
We are within easy distance of Gloucester and its stunning cathedral features in Harry Potter and the fascinating Historic Docks. There are also great cycle routes signposted and stretches of newly opened canals restored by Gloucester Canal Trust in close by villages. A visit to Wholly Gelato is also well worthwhile!
Newent is 5 minute drive away, with a local shop for groceries.
