*NEW LISTING* This off-grid 4 season glamping dome cabin is located on a beautiful 20 acre property at a 10 min drive from the shores of Lake Winnipeg and 5 mins away from Gull Lake. Enjoy walking on our forest trails, have a soak in our wood-fired hot tub, take our canoe out for a paddle, or go explore the countless hiking trails nearby. Located just off a groomed snowmobile trail, this is a perfect home base for snowmobilers, ice fishermen and cross-country skiers in the winter time. This glamping dome is ideal for two adults, or two adults with two children. The dome is equipped with a queen sized bed, and an inflatable double mattress (stored under the bed). (NOTE: during summer months, if adults wish to have their kids sleep in a tent outside the dome, that is ok too!) Please note that this is a "glamping" dome, which means there is an element of camping to this experience. Please remember to bring attire and equipment suitable for the current weather conditions. During colder months, the dome is heated with a wood stove. Firewood is provided. A fire extinguisher, and a smoke and carbon monoxide detector is also onsite. If temperatures are below zero outside, the wood stove needs to be regularly fed in order to keep temperatures at a comfortable level inside. This means you can expect having to get up during the night to feed the fire every few hours. Heavy blankets are provided :) In the event of forecasted temperatures below -15°C, dome bookings can be canceled or rescheduled without penalty, provided at least 24 hours' notice is given. The dome is also equipped with a kitchenette area, mini-fridge, propane single-burner, plates, cutlery, cookware, stove-top kettle, french-press. Coffee and tea are supplied. Water is provided in 5 gallon jugs and is dispensed via a battery powered pump/ faucet. Lights and mini-fridge are powered via deep-cycle batteries which are charged by solar panels (or recharged at the house if sun is lacking). There is a dedicated outhouse near the dome. Also at guests' disposal is a fire pit, picnic table and outdoor bbq. PLEASE NOTE: As our site is still in development, there is currently no guest shower available, and the hot tub is not yet operational. We are planning to have a guest shower facility built, and the hot tub operational by summer of 2024. Additionally, due to the fact that our hot tub is wood-fired, it cannot be used during winter months or whenever temperatures are not consistently above zero. ALSO NOTE: The dome does not have Wifi. However there is decent cell phone coverage in the area.

The co-host Pierre was very friendly and helpful. He was quick to get us set up and comfortable with our accommodations making sure we knew how everything worked. The location is beautiful and very private surrounded by trees, even before the leaves have filled it in. Everything was clean and came with the basics (plates, cups, mugs, cutlery, a few pots and pans). The wood stove kept the place nice and cozy as long as you keep up with stoking it. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Had a lovely stay. We were hoping it'd be a bit warmer when we booked, but once we figured out the stove we were able to keep the dome at a good temperature.

This dome place was amazing! It was my first time winter camping. Everything was just like the description. It was super quiet and very private. There was a hiking road and empty field, so I would definitely recommend bringing dogs. My suggestion is that the fireplace needed to be fed every 30 mins for me, (the weather was below 10) otherwise, it gets really cold so be prepared. Heavy blankets were provided. Outdoor washroom was very clean and the hand sanitizer in toilet was impressive too! I would love to come back for another night :)

Our dome cabin is nestled in a pine and birch forest on a 20.5 acre property, at a 5 minute drive from Gull Lake and 10 minutes from the east shores of Lake Winnipeg. This area is truly an outdoor activity lover's paradise, set in some of the most beautiful countryside Manitoba has to offer.
Summer activities include: going to nearby Patricia Beach, Beaconia, or Grand Beach, going canoeing on Gull Lake or on the nearby Brokenhead river (canoe available upon request). At a 5 minute drive in one direction is the Brokenhead trail: a gorgeous boardwalk trail that traverses an incredibly unique cedar forest and marsh. At a 5 minute drive in another direction is Belair Provincial Forest which also has nice hiking and quadding trails. Also nearby is Grand Beach Provincial Park with multiple kilometres of mountain biking and hiking trails. Guests are also welcome to explore the forest trails on our property, use our wood-fired hot tub (during spring, summer and fall). We also have lawn games that can be made available upon request (badminton, ladder ball, croquet, jumbo-sized jenga, frisbee toss games etc).
During winter months the dome is a perfect home-base for snowmobilers as our property has direct access to groomed snowmobile trails. Being so close to lake Winnipeg, ice-fishing is also a popular activity in the winter time. There are also lots of nice cross-country ski trails to discover at nearby provincial parks.
We live in a house on the property, however the dome is a good distance away and is completely private.
Despite feeling as though we are completely out in nature, we also happen to be conveniently located at about a 5 minute walk from Sherwood Grocery which is the area's local gas station/ grocery and liquor store. It is open year-round, and during summer months they also operate a chip-stand that serves up delicious burgers, fries, poutine, ice cream etc. While the grocery store here has all of the essentials, if they don't have what you are looking for, there is a larger grocery store in the town of Brokenhead, at a 10 minute drive away.
Guests can drive up to the dome when there is no snow on the ground. During winter months parking will be near the entrance of the property, and a sleigh will be provided to bring your things to the dome on foot.
