This is a fine, very basic accommodation. A reviewer called it Glamping, which is accurate, as is "RV-ing." It's clean and usable. It's about 30 minutes to hiking. Be aware that the upholstered furniture is only the sofa, which is also the bed. This is a day bed/trundle, and you make and unmake the bed each evening and morning, storing the sheets and mattress topper. That can get tedious. There isn't a dresser to store clothes. The studio is located right next to a larger house. You may want to consider this - the living situation can feel a bit communal. Conversations overlap, etc. The "shared" outdoor pool is actually in the outdoor space of the main house (so you're on their deck, basically). I didn't feel comfortable using it. Several listed amenities weren't provided - fire pit and chairs, outdoor sofa and table. The studio has curtains but with more than a dozen windows w/o shades, it's light inside 30 mins before sunrise. Overall, an ok place. Less than I expected but ok.
This was a great stay with a kitchen stocked with nearly every appliance you could need and a clean bathroom and living space. The bed is as comfortable as a pullout daybed can get. The road up to the house is definitely bumpy, but it's very manageable and overall, it's a peaceful place for a getaway with amazing stargazing opportunities and an easy commute to Joshua Tree for hiking.

This is a cute little studio apartment that is right next to another larger home. It has just the basic amenities that you might need for a short stay. Make sure you have a vehicle that can handle getting up bumpy dirt roads!
Really enjoyed our stay at Two Pepper Ranch. We booked the Casita and it felt comfortable and private! Kitchen is really fancy and nicely equipped with stables for cooking. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and loved it. Ms Rebecca was a very sweet and kind host :)
