Karon and Neil are great hosts, they shared all the local knowledge needed for the area and let us get on with it. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The Shepherds hut was perfect, such a great escape from the city for a few nights. Peaceful and idilic. Would highly recommend for any couples wanting to get away for a few days.
Karon was very welcoming and we loved our stay at the shepherd's hut. What a unique, hidden gem l, definitely worth a visit, we'll be back!
This was our first ever Airbnb trip and what a start to our journey. The shepards rest is simply beautiful. Everything from the outside to the inside and the lovely surroundings. The king-size bed was very comfortable and the heated blanket was an added bonus. We had an amazing nights sleep. The toilet facilities is just 30 second walk from the hut. Lights always on at night for visibility. The hamper on arrival is a lovely touch. It was fun playing the games provided. The information pack provided was helpful. It basically has everything you need for your stay (the description is very accurate on the site). I have saved the best till last and that is the hosting by Karon and Neil which was exceptional. Above and beyond comes into mind. Very lovely people. We had such a warm welcome by Karon in which we had a chat and she showed us around and told us everything we needed to know. The communication before our stay was very good also. Thank you both so much. We look forward to returning.
Set in an idyllic country vista, this cosey shepherds hut is the perfect Staycation and is very reasonably priced. Karon was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us a full tour of facilities and then let us enjoy our stay, which we certainly did. Superb, flexible and accommodating hosts. I particularly enjoyed watching the horses in the morning with a cup of coffee. We will absolutely be coming back. Thank you Karon and Neil for a lovely stay!
