I stayed in Yellow Fin and it was lovely. A balcony that overlooked the beach, a very functional kitchen and use of a nice table for quiet breakfasts. Juan Luis was helpful in communicating (Waze takes you to the street but it’s not obvious where the house is so he talked me through it). He also kindly helped me get my luggage up the stairs and told me of a hidden beach that was private (just beware of when high tide comes in so you can get back!). Enjoyed talking with him about living in Costa Rica and turtle rescue volunteering. The air conditioning was a big plus as it was HOT! I’d stay there again as it was welcoming and comfortable and felt safe for a solo woman traveler.

Juan est un hôte exceptionnel. Il nous a fait de bonnes suggestions pour sortir, souper, découvrir le coin. Belle vue de la chambre, proche de la plage, ça reste un coin un peu bof de la ville. La chambre est petite mais ce fut très bien pour le prix et notre première nuit à l'arrivée de Liberia. Le gros hic a été le airbnb voisin où un party à fait rage toute la nuit jusqu'à 3am! si jamais cela vous arrive, informez vous avant et il y a des numéros d'urgence Airbnb pour ce genre de situation. De plus, nous avons fait une plainte à AirBnb au sujet de ce voisin. Cela était indépendant de la volonté de Juan, mais ça restera quand même une responsabilité si cela arrive trop souvent. Au final, un bon pied a terre pour votre première soirée à votée arrivée!
