Just a 15 minute scenic drive from Maleny you will find peace and tranquility staying in the self contained garden studio here in our pretty forest setting. Wake up to the sound of birdsong and enjoy the many varied feathered friends that call this place home in addition to wallabies, kangaroos, possums, bandicoots, echidnas and even the occasional koala. Some of the more regular visitors being a variety of honeyeaters, yellow robins , king parrots , rainbow lorikeets and fairy wrens. Your accommodation consists of a newly renovated privately fenced garden studio with a leafy outlook from all windows. We offer a very comfortable queen sized bed with a seasonal soft comfort topper ; you have a choice of either a woolen or a feather & down quilt & you can also choose from either crisp cotton or soft microfibre sheets to suit your individual taste. The lounge area overlooks the garden and includes a small swap and share library of books and traditional board games for your relaxation & enjoyment. Please note that we are located in a natural setting and do not offer wifi or a television. We want you to totally unwind, relax and switch off from your busy day to day life. There is a separate ensuite bathroom with shower where you can enjoy the feeling of soft towels; natural shampoo, conditioner and body wash are also provided along with a hairdryer for guests to use. You will find a kitchenette & dining area equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, electric frypan, multi cook rice cooker, sandwich toaster, omelette maker, toaster, kettle and a ceramic water filter. Crockery, utensils, tea, coffee & milk supplied. Please note the kitchenette does not have a stove or a hotplate. The studio has reverse cycle air-conditioning to keep you cool in summer and cosy on chilly evenings. Relax & unwind with your drink of choice & enjoy sitting outside in the peace and quiet, you have access to the henge with fire pit if you feel so inclined to sit or even cook a few sausages on the grill with potatoes in the hot coals. Firewood & firelighters can be supplied at a small extra charge or feel free to bring your own. The studio is completely separate and private to the main dwelling however we will often be on site to be of assistance if required. Ros’ place was beautiful! In such a beautiful quiet part of the world and it felt like such a peaceful retreat. Provided us with a warm duvet for the cooler weather and welcomed us with home baked banana muffins! (Delicious!). Would highly recommend as a retreat for those wanting to escape technology and the hustle/bustle?
What a perfect place to base myself for exploring the stunning region of Maleny and Montville. SO peaceful and private, just what I needed with the added bonus of falling asleep to the rain on the roof. Being new to QLD I wanted to explore this beautiful area and it was super easy to get to a number of fantastic rainforest walks such as Mapleton Falls, Fig Tree Walk, Mary Cairncross Reserve, Gardners Falls, Obi Boardwalk and Kondalilla falls to name a few. And yes I did them all over 2 days. If it's local shops you're after a stroll down the main streets of Maleny, Mapleton or Montville in particular will keep you occupied for hours. It was also convenient for a visit to Australia Zoo. The cottage itself is very comfortable, super clean and had everything I needed especially the delicious banana/choc muffins that were left for me on arrival. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I hope to visit again in the future.

Honeyeater Haven is the most magical place to stay. Tranquility is the essence. The perfect place for a getaway and the accommodation is luxurious with everything that you need. Ros was extremely welcoming, considerate and interested in us having the best possible stay - which we did. Loved watching the plentiful bird life also.

Maleny offers a variety of shops, art galleries and cafes , a leisurely stroll down the main street is a must and an experience in itself.
On the way from Honeyeater Haven into Maleny you will come across the Botanical Gardens, Bird World and cafe which is well worth a visit.
If you travel along Mountain View road you will come to the beautiful Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve offering lovely rainforest walks, interactive rainforest discovery centre, picnic area with tables and barbeques and their popular Mountain View cafe with viewing platform overlooking the Glass House Mountains.
Gardner's Falls and Kondalilla Falls National Park are a bit further away but boast wonderful bushwalking tracks with some beautiful scenery.
Visit Montville with its eclectic mix of shops and cafes or venture down to the sunshine coast for the day which is only an hours drive away.
Maleny Dairies offer farm and factory tours however please check with The Maleny Dairies first as they are temporarily closed for renovations.
Maleny Cheese Factory on the way to Montville and Mapleton offer locally made handcrafted cheeses & yoghurt for sale seven days a week or sit and enjoy morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea tasting a delicious variety of products in their cafe which overlooks the working dairy factory and is open Wednesday to Sunday.
There are a variety of craft classes & workshops available to book in for in Maleny too if that appeals to you.
Try the Maleny Chocolate factory tours , chocolate tasting and workshops, pottery andalso cooking classes at the Red Earth Clay Shed and creative art classes & workshops at the Megan Bice Art Studio.
Cooking classes are available too at Spicer's Tamarind & Cultured Cuisines in Maleny.
As you can see there are lots of places to visit in the surrounding area or just do nothing and relax.
