We arrived to Houston early and Dwain allowed us to check in early on short notice, which was very kind! Check in was very smooth. It was in a convenient location for us that allowed us to get around easily with Uber.

We were in and out within 10 minutes. 100% of our money down the drain since we were unable to stay there. The extreme combination odor of mold, mildew, and must was more than what we could handle. We had to leave and book expansive last minute hotel rooms for our 3 day trip elsewhere. Host did mentioned AirWick but they were unable to overcome the odor of mold, mildew, and must. We also have sensitive reaction to smell, so odor as such can easily trigger itchy throat or headache. Unit: It was spacious and as pictured (minus the giant fan in the bedroom next to the bed and a lot of bugs at the front door). I have long hair so that was borderline a hazard but not a deal breaker. Clean & comfy unit! Location: on the rougher side of town, house on the left looks abandoned, on the right had people going in and out at 10pm at night. Sketchy apartments across. Installed cameras made us felt safer. Super cute unit and I believe we would've enjoyed it if the odor was taken care of.

Pros: location, nice neighbors, VERY responsive and reasonable host, price, nice kitchen appliances, and felt safe for the most part. Cons: hair in the shower upon arrival, AC was broken (although the host brought us fans and addressed this issue to the best of his ability), there were MANY bugs right outside the front door like hundreds— we had to rush in the house anytime we opened the door and flys always made there way in, like we couldn’t sit in the living room for one minute without spatting a fly out of our face/drinks/food. The floors could also use a good mop- I remember I spilled a little water on the floor and used a white rag to clean it up and it was completely black. There are outdoor security cameras but they could be easily unplugged by an intruder. Also beware of the noises throughout the day/night from other people in the triplex— was hard to tell the difference of someone maybe breaking in vs other Probably wouldn’t stay here again but I would rent from Dwain again
