A fantastic base from which to explore both Devon and Cornwall, this lakeside property offers peace and tranquillity just 2 miles from the coast. Located on a 320-acre farm with woodland, wetland and five fishing lakes, it is a wonderful choice for families and four-legged friends. After a morning spent fishing for carp or roach on one of the lakes, jump in the car to discover this area’s rich selection of quaint villages, cliff-top walks and sandy beaches. Approached via three steps, this lakeside lodge boasts a fabulous open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, perfect for entertaining. Whip up delicious family meals in the well-equipped kitchen area while chatting to fellow guests. After meals, hunker down in the cosy lounge area and spend a relaxing evening in front of the TV. This property offers three well-presented bedrooms, one of which overlooks the lake. Outside, the large balcony is the perfect spot for al fresco dining, wildlife watching or stargazing. While keen anglers spend the morning beside the lake, walkers and canine companions can explore the beautiful forestry walks this farm has to offer. Afterwards, stroll the ancient cobbled streets of nearby Clovelly (2 miles), looking out for resident donkeys along the way. Keen surfers should head straight for Bude (16 miles), home to vast sandy beaches, excellent surf and an array of surf shops, while those in search of a bit of local history should visit Hartland Abbey (5.5 miles). Other nearby attractions include The Big Sheep (8.5 miles), The Milky Way (1 mile) and Dartington Crystal (16 miles).
