While keen anglers spend the morning beside the lake, walkers and canine companions can explore the beautiful forestry walks this farm has to offer. Afterwards, stroll the ancient cobbled streets of nearby Clovelly (2 miles), looking out for resident donkeys along the way. Keen surfers should head straight for Bude (16 miles), home to vast sandy beaches, excellent surf and an array of surf shops, while those in search of a bit of local history should visit Hartland Abbey (5.5 miles).
