Spend long days sunbathing and rock pooling at the beach and come home to the pretty cottage garden to enjoy a BBQ of fresh fish bought at one of the coastal shops on the way home. Inside, traditional features are combined with contemporary furnishings and an open-plan layout giving a sense of space. Wooden floorboards run throughout the ground floor, with a light-coloured country-style kitchen and sitting room with cosy wood burner and two sets of French doors both perfect places to return to after a long day exploring the coast. Soothing tones in the bedrooms provide a welcome retreat when the day draws to a close. Head the quarter of a mile down to the coast path with its stunning views of the North Devon coastline. The beach is just 1 mile away at Bucks Mills and offers lots of opportunity for prawning, fishing and rock pooling while the sandy surfing beaches at Westward Ho! (11 miles) and Bude (20 miles) offer great days out, especially if you want to try your hand at some water sports. The BIG Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Park, both 7 miles away, are great days out for all the family.
