Reconnect with nature at our rustic waterfront farm on Virginia's unspoiled and beautiful Eastern Shore. Bring up to two of your own horses, or just pet our own rescue horses in the paddock in front of your private guest house. Enjoy our dock and included use of two kayaks before you travel to the charming island of Chincoteague only twenty minutes away, or explore the rest of the Eastern Shore. Excellent stargazing, the sound of the ocean in the near distance and absolute peace will be yours! The house itself if a manufactured home circa 1986. It is clean, but fairly rustic with older carpets and bathrooms (some updates have been made). One of the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms are fairly small. There is a sunroom for relaxing and enjoying your morning coffee, with a view out to the bay. As is typical of manufactured homes, the walls are thin so be prepared for that. Our property itself is thirty acres set within a larger farmstead, all of which used to be one large farm many years ago.

An incredible find and stay for my family on our roadtrip to South Carolina. From the serene surroundings, to the many friendly animals, to an unforgettable sunset by the water it was the perfect first stop and getaway from NYC!
Tracey's place gave us just what we were looking for - a quiet, peaceful get-away in a country setting. Having the opportunity to be welcomed and entertained by all the animals and fowl was a bonus. Having Timothy the Turkey travel all the way across the property, from his roost to the dock, to share an afternoon with us, is a highlight we will talk about for years! And the location, directly across from NASA /Wallops Island, gave us the spectacular opportunity to experience the Solar Eclipse and concurrent three rocket launches in an amazing setting. Tracey's proactive approach to describe/communicate what a visit to their place in the country provides left us with no surprises. And the welcome gift of fresh eggs and absolutely stunning tulips from the garden were much appreciated. We will return again.
We had a lovely overnight at Tracey’s guest house. It was special to be able to sit on the couch and look out one window to see sweet farm animals and the other to see the marsh. Tracey was so kind and generous during our stay. In advance she addressed the aging bathrooms and minor ant infiltration while also sharing what she was doing to address it. There was a distinct sulfur smell to the water which she was not aware of but now knows and is happy to address. It was great to stay someplace other than a motel or condo near Chincoteague!
Great spot for an Eastern Shore getaway. This family of 4 (and dog) was comfortable and loved seeing the horses and other animals. The location was an easy drive from Virginia Beach with lots of time for a delightful picnic in Cape Charles. Bonus, it's right across from Wallops Island! What a beautiful sunrise.
Tracey ESVA home is on a bay! Beautiful and peaceful! She has rescues of beautiful horses, big and small, mule, a donkey, a funny turkey, fresh eggs from the chickens, a duck and a lovely goose! I adored everything about this sanctuary! The home is older, but super comfy, I slept so good! I explored Chincoteague, Onancock, Berlin, MD, Cape Charles, Kipoteck state Park, Assateague Island National Seashore, both VA and MD side. Went to many local restaurants, very fresh seafood! Blue Crow antiques is a must! Food: The Steamer The Mallard Corner Bakery The Island Restaurant The Shanty The Charlotte Hotel and Restaurant Is all I could get in! I love ESVA and I adored my Airbnb so much! Thank you for being a hostess with the mostess! Big love

We are at the end of a very long dirt lane, be prepared for a bumpy ride over a mile long to get to our property at the back of hundreds of acres of working farmland. Our own property consists of thirty acres for our rescue horses and local wildlife. We have 1500 feet of coastal frontage on Bogues Bay with the NASA facility Wallops Island across the bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond that. This is a country setting, best suited to the adventurous with very limited amenities in the nearby area as we are not in a "town" by any stretch. There are a couple of sandwich shops, coffee shop, grocery store and other "necessities" within 10 or so minutes, as well as Chincoteague Island an easy 15 to 20 minute drive from the farm. There are chicken barns (though currently not operating) near our property and visible from the guest house, they are common on the Eastern Shore and part of the working farm "aesthetic."
There is plenty of parking on the farm, including room for a horse trailer should guests wish to bring their horses for potential riding on the beaches of Assateague Island (please inquire for more information). We are approximately 3 hours from Baltimore and Philadelphia, 3.5 hours or so to Washington DC and a beautiful 1.5 hour drive to Norfolk Virginia across the Bay Bridge and Tunnel. Chincoteague Island and all its resort benefits and beautiful beaches is 20 minutes away, as well as a 30 minute drive to the charming town of Onancock. Ocean City Maryland the historic town of Berlin are a relatively easy one hour drive from our property.
