Your host and local crafters fabricated the cabin's 30 support arches, cedar shiplap walls and deck, blue pine flooring, birch loft beam, walnut trim and tiled accents. Enjoy the walk-in shower, rustic vanity, and fully appointed bunkhouse kitchen with farmhouse sink and shou sugi ban open shelves. This is a unique arched cabin built by your host with the help of Idaho artisans, with features borrowed from the tiny house trend. The ground floor, 20x24 feet, features a bunkhouse kitchen, daybed, office space with desktop and monitor, dining table, bathroom, walk-in tiled shower and laundry. You can sleep on the daybed on the ground floor or on the comfortable glamping style cots in the half loft, accessed by a spiral staircase. You'll find one regular and one XL Teton brand cot that fit the space well. The loft sits above the entrance door. NOTE: The space isn't suitable for toddlers or young children given the open tread spiral staircase, which can't be simply closed off with a baby gate, and the opening in the loft above the railing. The high vaulted ceiling above the kitchen/dining area is filed with light. A deck off the back offers seating and mountain views. On clear nights, sunsets can be superb. Visited by deer, eagles, wild turkeys, grouse, quail, pheasant, killdeer, trumpeter swans, elk and magpies. Sometimes you hear the distant wail of coyotes. In winter, juncos swoop gracefully underneath the cabins. If you get up early, you are likely to see the resident small herd of deer shaking off their slumbers and moving to the forest from their grassy beds near the orchard. Views encompass from east to west, Gospel Hump, Snowhaven, Grangeville, Cottonwood Butte, Nez Perce, Battle Ridge and the Clearwater Valley.
