Welcome to our off the grid shouse in a little fishing village called Turkey Beach. Enjoy bush views, relax with no distractions but the native wildlife that shows up at the door. Minutes walk to the waters edge where you can swim in the enclosure/ launch your boat for a day of fishing/ go 4WD to Agnes. We love fishing so we created an outdoor fishing table & sink for you to use. We are also Dog lovers so your furry kids are welcome but please respect our neighbours New home that has been designed for the simple pleasures brining the outdoors inside. It is a three bedroom shed-home built using steel and colourbond hence the “Shouse” title. The master room has bush views with the views continuing to the open lounge room and kitchen. For those coffee lovers bring your Nespresso capsules and wake up with a cafe coffee. We have an outdoor shower that has hot and cold water but for those that like a shower inside we have one of those too.

As advertised. Clean and tidy. Outdoor Pizza oven was a bonus. Plenty of room for the boat . Aircon and fans were great .
We enjoyed our stay and the area is beautiful and peaceful. The home looked as it appeared in the photos. Prue did pre warn us that the air conditioning was a small unit not big enough to cool the entire house but noticed there was NO cool air coming out at all so perhaps the filters are clogged with dirt- suggestion- the cleaning routine needs to include this. Perhaps a bigger air conditioning unit would have made all the difference, because it was quite uncomfortably hot with no relief but two pedestal fans. There was also dust on light fixtures and kitchen utensils, plates and crockery which I had to wash before use.
Great place to stay. The power and water did go out for a for my last day there and ended up charging my phone in my car. I understand this is not their fault though. However, other than that, amazing stay.
Turkey Beach is a beautiful part of the world but BEWARE: this place needs a lot of work. We had issues from Day 1 with the roof leaking, air con unable to cool down the large space and pumping out hot air on cool mode, leftover food from other guests left and worst of all, the dodgy screen doors with gaps and holes in them. This made our Christmas extremely stressful and disappointing.
A great place to stay in the beautiful outdoors.

There are more tractors then cars and more boats then people.
It is the quietest area to be, the kookaburras create the most noise in the neighbourhood.
There is plenty of kangaroo and joeys about so drive with caution.
It’s a very friendly and quiet town and the boat ramp will get busy with boats and tractors as it’s the access to Lady Musgrove and reef for the keen fishing people.
Only a corner store with your bare essentials, bait, milk, booze and petrol.
