Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This charming home is located in the quiet neighborhood of the island. It is only about a mile from the Alameda beach or the 880 freeway entrance in the opposite direction. 17 miles from San Francisco, it is centrally located in the heart of SF bay area with Oakland international airport (4.6 miles) and San Francisco international airport (27 miles) nearby. This old craftsman home has a front porch and rear deck with BBQ grill. Inside the house, there is a box beam ceiling, panel wall and inlaid hardwood floor. From the front entrance, the guests have access of the entire first floor with private living area, formal dinning room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is the common area shared with the owner, John, living upstairs thru the separate rear entrance. There is a one way door lock from the main dining room to provide privacy if needed. Four tandem parking spaces are available in the driveway.

John’s place is a convenient location for visiting the Oakland/Alameda area. John is very responsive to questions. The house is well supplied with quality products. Sharing the kitchen with John worked out fine. If traveling or visiting with kids, It’s adjacent to a great park. We would stay here again.

John’s place was exactly what my family and I needed. We had an unexpected family tragedy and he was beyond generous and accommodating for my family during a very hard week. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
