Casa Alice is a beautiful home! We Just spent a few days there and really enjoyed the quiet and privacy of the home. The photos do Not do this beautiful house justice. Prepare to walk long winding stairs! It wasn’t an issue for our group! A few things that can be improved would be having the essentials available in the home. Some bathrooms have toilet paper and some do not. There’s no paper towels anywhere either! The hot tub doesn’t have a working heater but it isn’t listed in the description that there’s a hot tub available. There are also two stray dogs that stayed around the home during our stay. Overall though, the house was beautiful!
Had to take off one star because of lack of service, accommodations and cleanliness. Apartment was not ready at 4 pm and this messed up our plans for the day. There was two men still cleaning. They left the towels in the dryer and door unlocked with our things inside when they left. We were not accommodated for it and it was a couple hours late as well not even just a few minutes. The pool was dirty so no one wanted to use it. There was not extra toilet paper. We were accommodated partial cleaning fee after requested. It seems like it’s a large company hiring management people and not someone specifically knowing the details of this property. For example, no help with finding more toilet paper or knowing what was happening at the home. I asked ahead of time if there was a steamer we were told yes and there was not. The house itself is very beautiful awesome views beds were comfy. Besides the lack of customer service- great house!
I had my bachelorette trip in PR and stayed at this location with 6 other women. We had a fantastic time. The pictures accurately depict the home and the hosts were extremely responsive. The location is remote and the natural landscape makes you feel like you're in a treehouse in the rainforest. The view was stunning. Overall this is a fantastic choice for a big group! Other notes: It was easy to get an Uber from this location to Old San Juan (~40 min drive), with drop pin feature. It was not easy to have food delivered because the address did not register in food delivery apps or was recognized over the phone. There are a ton of stairs to get to the house. Would be difficult if not able-bodied. The hot tub does not work, but it was not featured as an amenity.
The house was amazing! Beautifully updated throughout. Had a great time and would definitely come back here again. The waterfall off the back deck of this property was stunning; as were the views off each terrace. So peaceful and serene. FYI - there are two large bedrooms downstairs that are not directly connected to he main floor. There is 1 small bedroom on the main floor without a bathroom located directly inside - nearest one is in the kitchen. There are 2 driveways as explained in the description - The driveway located at the top by the main house was inaccessible during our trip - it was very steep and narrow (wouldn’t recommend trying to access with car) and blocked by down power lines and trees. The driveway at the bottom by the pool was completely fine and very accessible by main road - just a heads up you will need to climb a lot of stairs with your luggage and groceries.
