For family holidays or special get-togethers, this fabulous five-bedroom contemporary property offers spacious accommodation for socialising and relaxing together. Gather together in the open-plan living area to share a bottle of wine around the wood burner while younger guests relax in their own TV area or in the well-equipped games room. The bustling quayside of Appledore is less than 50 metres away with its popular pubs, well-regarded restaurants and well-stocked deli. Catch the ferry to Instow for a walk on the sand dunes or head to nearby Westward Ho! (3 miles) to enjoy the 2 miles of sandy beach. Enter this stunning property into the spacious hallway with its spectacular oak and glass staircase. Ascending the stairs to the first floor, there is an impressive lounge/kitchen/diner; the lounge area has a wood burner and French doors leading to an enclosed balcony, and the kitchen is well-appointed with an informal seating area. Heading back down the stairs, you will find four of the property's bedrooms with the fifth bedroom on the lower ground floor. Also on the lower ground floor is a well-equipped games room. Finally, a useful utility room completes the accommodation. Stepping outside, light the BBQ in the lovely-Mediterranean style enclosed courtyard which has garden seating. There is roadside parking, subject to availability, or further parking can be found in the nearby public car park. Popular with tourists, the unspoilt village of Appledore is perfectly placed to explore the North Devon coastline. Catch the waves with a surf lesson at Westward Ho! or hop in the saddle to discover the Tarka Trail cycling path (4 miles). Ride the rollercoasters at The Milky Way (12.5 miles) or catch the MS Oldenburg from Bideford (4 miles) to visit the tranquil isle of Lundy. Fantastic property with ample space for socialising. We had a great weekend as a group of 10 cooking all our meals in the property and hanging out for long evenings after active days out surfing. The kitchen is amazing and has everything you need including 2 ovens, loads of pots and pans and knives that are actually sharp! Three of rooms have en suites so only 2 rooms need to share a bathroom, although we just shared the en-suites so no one was ever having to wait to have a shower. There is decent amount of seating areas around the property so you've always got a seat, even for a group of 10! Downstairs TV/games room is great and we watched the 2023 Rugby World Cup semi finals here on a huge screen with excellent sound. One thing to note is you are only provided with a very small amount of toilet roll (one roll per toilet), several dishwasher tablets and a little bit of washing up liquid, so worth bringing your own. All in all a 10/10 stay and hope to return again soon.
