The Owelet is a magical place, located in a stunning valley. The accommodation was homely, comfortable and clean. Ellen and Matt were great hosts and when we needed an extra duvet for our son, they responded immediately. We appreciated the little touches, such as fresh eggs from their chickens and ducks to the books and board games. We would highly recommend The Owlet to anyone who wants to get away from it all and connect with nature. We’ll definitely be returning!

we had a lovely 4 days in Ellen's property. the location is stunning, so secluded, so quiet and peaceful and just beautiful to walk around. It's a truly cosy experience, we found it easy to switch off and relax. the gift of local mustard and apple juice was a wonderful and much appreciated touch. we will be back! 10/10

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Such a lovely place and we had everything we needed. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Ellen is a great host.

The place was totally lovely. Its so peaceful and the bird song was incredible especially in the morning. You do have to be a bit adventurous -which we loved! The approach track is very bumpy and has a sharp bend so we really appreciated the advice not to arrive in the dark. This all means that the place is secluded and quiet. It was lovely that our dog was welcome. The weather has been so bad, the tracks are very muddy, so I did worry about how we would keep the unit clean but we brought loads of old towels for the dog. I was really glad we did. We just bundled him in them every time we got back. The shower and Cooking facilities are great. The only thing I'd say is bring your own towels as the ones provided are lovely but quite small. Be prepared to light fires to keep warm...which then work super well and make the place very toasty. There is internet but we found it wasn't strong enough to watch TV but then we were enjoying the board games and cooking etc. Ellen is a wonderful host!

Absolutely loved our stay at the Owlet. Peaceful relaxing and quiet, the loudest noise was the delightful birdsong at sunrise and sunset. Beautiful caravan, and plenty big enough for the 3 of us and dog. We are all so chilled out after our relaxing long weekend, the only downside is our dog loved the woodburner so much we may have to install one at home! Ellen is a wonderfully responsive host, happy to help, and very friendly although we never met over the weekend so we had our privacy too. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Owlet and Ellen to anyone.
